Without Death's ability, "Costs 1 less for each card destroyed this game," it would have the highest Energy cost in Marvel SNAP. However, depending on the number of cards being destroyed by both players, it can cost 0 Energy and be a solid 12 Power. The goal when using Death is to form a destruction deck by utilizing other cards that also benefit from destruction.

Other than Thanos and She-Hulk, the cards featured in the decks below are found in Marvel Snap's Pool 3 or below, and destruction decks are used by players at all Collection Levels. By the time they reach Pool 3, most players will have figured out ways to counter them, so players using destruction decks should be on the lookout for cards like Armor and Professor X that will lock down lanes.

Death Destruction Deck

Marvel SNAP Death Destruction Deck

All the cards in this deck have abilities that revolve around destroying or being destroyed, except Squirrel Girl. Sadly, Squirrel Girl is purely sacrificial. The deck is like a Russian Doll but made of death because players are wanting cards to be destroyed, or eaten, within a certain pattern. The cards should be layered before they're destroyed in some instances.

Although Nova is a cheap card, destroying it while almost no cards are in play would defeat the purpose of the +1 power because it only buffs cards on the board. Killmonger, a Pool 2 card, will also destroy opponents' cards and is a great way to remove cards like Nightcrawler that can change the outcome of the game by simply moving lanes.

Death-Thanos Deck

Thanos and Death deck Marvel SNAP

In this SNAP deck, Thanos and Death share the spotlight. Destruction isn't the main purpose of the deck but more of a necessity to get all of Thanos' Stones played without lingering on the board and taking up space while only having 1 Power. Using Magik to add a 7th turn in a Thanos deck drastically increases the chance of playing all the Stones to take advantage of a buffed Thanos, and Quinjet decreases the cost of the Stones to 0 Energy. Keep in mind that Killmonger will destroy Quinjet, though. YouTuber Randy Duet features this deck in a video and elaborates on its mechanics.

One of the downsides of Destruction decks in Marvel SNAP is that they're identifiable and normally paired with the same core cards. Once opponents recognize the deck type, it's much easier for them to work around it. Fun Fact: Death is supposedly 5' 7" in human form according to the Marvel Wiki. She's not even that tall.
