Marvel's Disney+ series She-Hulk is reportedly set to start filming this summer, despite not yet having a star. She-Hulk is among the many MCU-set shows that will be exclusive to Disney+ thanks to the restructuring of Marvel's television side, now called Marvel TV Studios. The Disney+ shows will connect to the films in ways Marvel television shows previously have not, with the events of the shows directly influencing the films. The first, The Falcon and the Winter Soldierwill premiere later this year, with WandaVision also expected in 2020.

In addition to the shows with established MCU heroes, Marvel head Kevin Feige announced a trio of Disney+ shows centering on new characters: She-Hulk, Ms. Marveland Moon Knight. None of those shows have even tentative release dates, but now it seems fans can expect some of them sooner rather than later. Previous reports suggested Ms. Marvel would begin production in the spring, and now She-Hulk looks to follow right after.

Per Comicbook.com, She-Hulk is expected to begin production in July. Much like several other Marvel projects, it will film in Atlanta. No actors are currently attached to the project, but it was previously reported that Jessica Gao (Rick and Morty) will serve as head writer. Based on the time frame of the show's production start date, casting for the series will likely be announced within the next few months.

She-Hulk is expected to follow Jennifer Walters, Bruce Banner's cousin who gains her She-Hulk persona after receiving a blood transfusion from Bruce. It's unclear if the series will follow that origin story, or if Mark Ruffalo will make an appearance as Bruce. Even if he doesn't, Ruffalo has already shared that his dream casting for She-Hulk is Tessa Thompson, despite the fact that it would break MCU continuity.

Marvel's Disney+ content has been exciting fans ever since it was announced, and each new bit of information serves as a reminder that the shows will be arriving soon. Since She-Hulk won't begin filming until summer, it probably won't premiere on the streamer until 2021. However, there's a good chance it will arrive in the first half of the year, possibly around the time of Loki's debut, which is currently set for spring 2021. With WandaVision moving to 2020, there's an open spot on the release calendar for a show, though it could also be filled by Ms. Marvel. Regardless, expect She-Hulk to take Disney+ by storm next year.
