The first Marvel's Runaways season 2 trailer has arrived. Marvel expanded their TV dominance to Hulu last year by taking the series to another new network or streaming service. The show stayed close to the source material in adapting the Michael K. Vaughn story, but didn't get as deep into the action as the first run did. The first season focused on the kids discovering the dark truth about their parents and, finally, running away by the end of the season. This means the second season will actually feature the young heroes in the status that Marvel fans are most familiar with.

Season 2 premieres on Hulu at the end of this year, but with a new release method. The cast is all the same and no new additions have been announced, but fans will now get to binge all 13 episodes from day one - instead of the weekly roll out that Hulu did for season 1. And now, we have the first footage.

Marvel released the first teaser trailer for Runaways season 2 today that reveals the first footage from the new season. Expanded powers for the kids is a big focus of the footage, as well as how the relationships have grown since we've last seen them.

The second season of Runaways is expected to pick up right after or close to the final events of the first season. However, we can already start to see some of the growth that the heroes will go through. Nico Minoru (Lyrica Okano) gets a lot of the spotlight in the trailer and is showing more control of the Staff of One. We also get to see Karolina Dean (Virginia Gardner) trying to understand her abilities as well, even with the help of Jonah (Julian McMahon) it appears. The relationship between Nico and Karolina also looks to be blossoming based on the trailer. There's also shots of Molly Hernandez (Allega Acosta) using her super strength, Chase Stein (Gregg Sulkin) perfecting his gauntlets, and more.

The piece of the trailer and the season that is sure to excite comic fans is the reveal of The Hostel, their secret, hidden base of operation. In the comics, it is here where they hide when their parents and the cops are looking for them. It is eventually revealed that one of the kids is a mole and is actually reporting to the parents. The mole element is expected to be part of season 2, but they could change who is in communication with the parents. Another notable moment could be the kid with glowing eyes. He could be Victor Mancha potentially, who producer Josh Schwartz wouldn't confirm or deny is in their plans before. We'll find out soon enough when Runaways returns.
