Warning! Spoilers for W.E.B. of Spider-Man #4 by Marvel Comics below

Marvel Comics just introduced a brand new Green Goblin who's giving the students at W.E.B. all they can handle. In W.E.B. of Spider-Man #4, the brightest young minds team up to battle an intruder wearing the mask of the Green Goblin. However, Spider-Man immediately notices it's not a version of the villain they faced before. Instead, it's the Cy-Gob, who's taken control of another villain.

Tony Stark has assembled the smartest and most inventive youngsters in the Marvel Universe for part of his W.E.B. program. Lunella Lafayette, Harley Keener, Squirrel Girl, Onome, Squirrel Girl, and Peter Parker are given access to Stark's vast technological resources, allowing them to invent and innovate the name of science. But, the W.E.B. students immediately came into conflict when their facility was cyber-attacked by a new Green Goblin. After moving operations to Paris, the new Green Goblin followed them across the globe and launched another attack. Now, the new Green Goblin is launching another cyber attack and revealing who's behind the mask.

In W.E.B. of Spider-Man #4 by Kevin Shinick, Alberto Alburquerque, Rachelle Rosenberg, and Travis Lanham, Amadeus Cho arrives in Paris to figure out what's causing the cyber attacks. However, when a message from Iron Man arrives (via hologram) and tells them the Green Goblin isn't someone they've encountered before, W.E.B. is hacked again. As Lunella, Harley, and Onome put on VR goggles to stop the virus in its own domain, Spider-Man, Squirrel Girl, and Amadeus Cho chase down the new Green Goblin. After tying him up in webbing, the villain reveals himself to be Mendel Stromm.

New Green Goblin Marvel Comics (2)

Mendel Stromm is a former associate of Norman Osborn, who was thrown in prison for stealing from OsCorp. To get revenge on Norman, Stromm tried to kill him - but nearly died after being shot in an encounter with Spider-Man. Stromm transferred his consciousness into a robot body and became almost entirely machine. It seems Stromm has stolen Norman's Green Goblin suit and become the latest version of the villain. Considering Stromm is nearly entirely cybernetic, it explains how he could have hacked W.E.B - as he can access technology like few other villains can.

Now that Marvel's smartest heroes know they're dealing with Stromm, they are more prepared than ever to stop his cyber attacks and put him back behind bars. Spider-Man and the rest of the W.E.B. students will need to put their brainpower together to ensure the new Green Goblin doesn't ever fly again. W.E.B. of Spider-Man #4 by Marvel Comics is in comic book shops now.
