Avengers: The Kang Dynasty star Jonathan Majors praises the younger stars who could be joining Marvel's updated superhero team. After a variant of Majors' villain was introduced in Disney+'s Loki, the big bad is set to make his feature film debut in next year's Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. The upcoming film will supposedly play an essential role in setting up Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, which is slated to see a new lineup of heroes team up to defeat Kang the Conqueror. The team is then set to return in Avengers: Secret Wars, which will conclude Phase 6 and the Multiverse Saga.

Although the new team of Avengers has not yet been officially confirmed, Majors, in a recent interview with Somos Geeks on YouTube, has high praise for several actors that he expects to be on the updated MCU team. Majors lists Florence Pugh, who plays Yelena Belova, and Letitia Wright, who plays Shuri, as talented actors that he's looking forward to facing off against but also teases that Anthony Ramos, who is expected to join the MCU as villain The Hood, could be someone else who appears in the upcoming film. Check out Majors' full comment below:

"I think this new class of Avengers is quite impressive. Letitia Wright, Florence Pugh, I mean, just to name a few. I mean, these actresses are the avant-garde of their generation, in the MCU and outside of it.

“So, I think one of the things I’ve realized and really grown to love is that, yes, we’re the avatars of these incredible superheroes and supervillains, but the actors that are playing these roles are so grounded and so essentially about the work. That’s what makes it really happen, you know? That we have these wonderful special effects and all the things that really elevate the piece.

“And so, I’m really looking forward to just… Anthony Ramos potentially. You know, there’s so many actors who have been enlisted into this MCU team that I… would love to a play with them, you know? And so I, of course, would love to get busy with them, and and do fight sequences, and tell the story on that scale. So I can’t name anybody in particular, but I’m very excited about this new group coming in. And of course if any of the originals want to take a go, I welcome that."

Who Will Be On The New Avengers Team?

Hailee Steinfeld and Jeremy Renner prepare to shoot arrows in Hawkeye.

After the death of Scarlett Johansson's Natasha Romanoff in Avengers: Endgame, Black Widow, a prequel, introduces her younger adoptive sister, Yelena, who is poised to play a significant role in the MCU moving forward. Yelena later cropped up in Hawkeye, where she had a fun, competitive dynamic with another potential Avenger, Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld), Clint Barton's (Jeremy Renner) protégé. While it's not clear when Kate will next appear in the MCU, Yelena is already slated to star in Thunderbolts, Marvel's upcoming anti-hero team-up movie, potentially meaning the new Black Widow won't be a proper member of the Avengers.

In addition to Yelena and Kate, several other new Marvel characters could join the Avengers team. Shuri officially takes up the mantle of Black Panther in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, almost guaranteeing she will play a crucial role in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars. Ryan Coogler's sequel also introduces Ironheart (Dominique Thorne), who will serve as the MCU's Iron Man replacement and will be further developed in a Disney+ show next year. Other Disney+ shows like Ms. Marvel and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law also hints at new characters who will be playing important roles to come, including Iman Vellani and Tatiana Maslany's respective titular heroes. She-Hulk: Attorney at Law also introduces Skaar (Will Deusner), Bruce Banner's son, who could serve as the MCU's new Hulk.

While several new characters are expected to join the updated Avengers team, many legacy characters could also appear, including Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch, Brie Larson's Captain Marvel, Benedict Wong's Wong, and Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange. Some questions remain regarding Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, but the film certainly lacks heroes to choose from. It remains to be seen how Majors' Kang will compare to the last Avengers villain, Thanos. Still, the actor is excited to work with many Marvel newcomers and veterans.
