WandaVision star Kathryn Hahn jokes that, unlike Mark Ruffalo, she’s good at keeping secrets. Hahn’s a well-known and lauded performer, known for roles across comedic and dramatic genres, but her recent foray into the Marvel Cinematic Universe comes with a new set of responsibilities.

Appearing in WandaVision, in a lead role, Hahn plays the nosy neighbor Agnes. Suspiciously helpful and impatient to get to know Wanda, the actress has already left a positive impression with her scenes in the first two installments of the Disney+ series. Many viewers are eager to find out whether there’s more to Agnes than meets the eye, or if it’s just a misdirection meant to conceal a bigger reveal down the line. Hahn, for her part, is certain that she won’t be unveiling anything about the true nature of her portrayal.

Hahn’s comments came during an interview with Entertainment Tonight. When the actress was asked if she’d been pestered by anyone to share secrets about where WandaVision might be headed, Hahn expressed faith in her ability to keep what she knows to herself. She stressed that, unlike a certain Avenger, by the name of Mark Ruffalo, fans shouldn’t expect any spoilers from her. Hahn’s comments have been included below.

“You know what? I am learning to be a fantastic secret-keeper. It turns out I am really turning out to be a fantastic secret-keeper. I remember when Mark, sweet Ruffalo, didn’t he get busted for [spoilers]? (laughs) I was like, ‘I do not want to pull a Ruffalo! I am really gonna zip it up.’”

Ruffalo, along with his Avengers cohort Tom Holland, has gained a reputation for playing a little fast and loose with important information. The actor, known for his portrayal of Bruce Banner in the MCU, has made the mistake of livestreaming a portion of Thor: Ragnarok for fans to see. In other instances, Ruffalo has offered up the ending of Avengers: Infinity War with very little prompt. At this point, it’s safe to assume that Marvel executives have learned to use Ruffalo’s spoiler-heavy tendencies to their advantage by turning it into fuel for promotional purposes. But, at least in a few cases, Ruffalo has appeared to genuinely let franchise secrets slip out. To the dismay of some viewers, who are can’t wait to learn where WandaVision goes next, Hahn is certain that she won’t have the same problem.

With only two episodes aired, out of a nine-episode run, questions regarding the first full-fledged Disney+ MCU offering have piled up. Fans want clarity on everything, from big mysteries such as how did the two leads get stuck in a sitcom, to more specific queries about ambiguous figures like the Beekeeper. There are also plenty of queries about Hahn’s presence, as many are convinced the acclaimed actress is portraying a villain. That’s what makes WandaVision so interesting, however, is that the series builds up its central mysteries while also showing the underserved title characters in a different light.
