Marvel Studios announces six more mystery Marvel Cinematic Universe movie release dates, including the first Phase 7 films. It was only last year that WandaVision kicked off Marvel's Phase 4 slate, with Black Widow being the first of six released movies to this point. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will be the seventh and final film of Phase 4 once it hits theaters in November 2022. The announcement came as a surprise during San Diego Comic-Con 2022, where Marvel and Kevin Feige detailed the entire Phase 5 slate and teased the beginning and conclusion of Phase 6.

The entirety of Phases 4-6 is now officially known as the Multiverse Saga, which culminates with two Avengers movies in 2025: Avengers: The Kang Dynasty in May and Avengers: Secret Wars in November. After releasing seven movies in Phase 4, Phase 5 has six confirmed films to this point. A potential new Sony and Marvel Spider-Man trilogy with Tom Holland could affect the slate in some fashion, though. As for Phase 6, Fantastic Four and the two Avengers movies are the only confirmed movies on the slate, although Feige teased that more announcements on that front will come later.

After Marvel Studios' panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2022, a Walt Disney Studios press release revealed even more MCU movie news. With movies like Captain America: New World Order and Thunderbolts taking previously announced dates for untitled Marvel movies, Disney secured release dates for six more MCU movies. There is a February 14, 2025, mystery movie now on the slate and a July 25, 2025, film coming out between Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars. The release dates also extend beyond Secret Wars and the conclusion of Phase 6, making the following four mystery Marvel movies part of Phase 7. They will be released on February 13, May 1, July 24, and November 6 in 2026.

Why There's No Avengers Movie In MCU Phase 5 Featured

The six new Marvel movies give Disney seven mystery MCU movies on its overall slate. It was previously announced that a Marvel movie would come out in February 2024, but that date was not included in the Phase 5 slate. Disney's latest announcement makes no mention of that release date no longer being needed, which indicates it is still part of their plan. This confirms that Marvel Studios will maintain its pace of releasing four movies annually throughout the Multiverse Saga and continue to do so in Phase 7.

With all of the excitement over what Marvel Studios announced for the Multiverse Saga and teasing its Phase 6 plans, the revelation of some Phase 7 MCU movie release dates is quite surprising. Marvel did not need to stake out these release dates this early on. It does provide a clear answer to whether or not Avengers: Secret Wars could be the end of the MCU, though. Of course, the new Marvel movie release dates and Phase 7 tease also opens the door to speculation about what could come after the Multiverse Saga's conclusion.
