The first images from Marvel's M.O.D.O.K. TV show for Hulu have arrived. Prior to Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige gaining control of Marvel Television, the division was working on a number of different animated projects for Hulu. The announcement of Marvel's M.O.D.O.K. in 2019 came alongside news that Howard the DuckTigra & DazzlerHit-Monkey, and a crossover known as The Offenders were also in development. While many of them were canceled, the one starring the Mental Organism Designed Only For Killing is still happening.

The M.O.D.O.K. Hulu series is a creation of comedian Patton Oswalt, who will voice the Marvel villain in addition to writing the series. It will be an adult-oriented stop-motion animated show, which will mark the first foray into either territory for Marvel. Despite knowing that M.O.D.O.K. is still on the way, news on the series has been light ever since it was announced. But, we now have the first look images of the show.

Today, EW exclusively revealed the first three photos from M.O.D.O.K., prior to the show's virtual panel for New York Comic Con. The photos highlight the stop motion animation that will be used and give Marvel fans the first look at what M.O.D.O.K. and other characters will look like. Below, you can see several images of M.O.D.O.K., as well as his wife Jodie (Aimee Garcia), his oddball son Lou (Ben Schwartz), and his similar-looking daughter Melissa (Melissa Fumero).

Along with the first images from the show, EW also highlighted some more plot details about M.O.D.O.K. The first image above comes from the pilot episode where M.O.D.O.K. and Jodie are out to dinner after he has a minor victory at work with AIM (Advanced Idea Mechanics). However, his work negatively impacts Jodie's blossoming career as a mommy blogger. Her success and his failures have impacted the marriage. The stresses that M.O.D.O.K. experiences are amplified when a Silicon Valley company named GRUMBL acquires AIM, forcing him to deal with corporate boards, human resources, and a post-merger consultant played by Beck Bennett.

Even though these images don't show what the stop-motion animation from Stoopid Buddy will look like in action, they are promising first looks at M.O.D.O.K. It is very reminiscent of Robot Chicken, which isn't surprising given Stoopid Buddy's involvement. If the show can deliver on the tease of being an adult-focused comedy, then Marvel's M.O.D.O.K. should have a chance to establish its own corner of the Marvel universe. Once everyone gets a chance to see it in 2021, the show could prove that Marvel needs to make more content like this in the future.
