Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy are two Spider-Man-related characters that fans have come to know and love with each passing adventure. And in a new piece of Marvel fanart, it’s proven they’re the coolest spider-heroes around, easily beating the original Wall-Crawler, Peter Parker, at his own superhero game!

Two characters that are part of the next generation of Marvel heroes, Spider-Man aka Miles Morales, and Spider-Gwen/Ghost-Spider aka Gwen Stacy, are two peas in the metaphorical pod as not only do they share similar spider-related power sets but have also struck up a close friendship over the years that’s as endearing as it is fun to see play out. Hailing from an alternate universe where she never died at the hands of the Green Goblin, Gwen has crossed realities more than once to help the people of Earth-616 while Miles has continued the legacy of Spider-Man in his home borough of Brooklyn, with both quickly rising the ranks as two of the most popular Marvel characters in years.

Spider-Man's Miles and Gwen Are Too Cool For School!

Positioning Miles and Gwen on a rooftop smack dab in the middle of New York City’s expansive skyline, Amilcar brings their fish-eyed, thin-lined, vibrant-hued style to two characters that are the epitome of cool. Sitting on the top of a water tower with his mask pulled up while staring into the camera stoically, Amilcar draws Miles clad in his classic red and black Spidey suit with an expression that screams “come at me, bro.” Meanwhile, stuck to the side of the tower behind Miles dressed in her white, black, and pink-webbed hooded costume, Gwen eyes the camera with a commanding and knowing stare, with Amilcar’s clean art style effectively selling the cool factor inherent to both of these iconic heroes in one fell swoop.

So while fans will get to see Miles and Gwen meet up once more in the upcoming Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse film and possibly even in the current End of the Spider-Verse or Dark Web comic events as well, seeing them here in all of their superheroic glory is something that fans need to take note of, especially with Amilcar Pinna (@amilcarpinna) handling art duties. Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy deserve the Spidey spotlight just as much as any other incarnation of the character, so here’s to getting some more joint tales and inspired fanart of these Marvel heroes soon!
