Ryan Reynolds has more than a few hilarious guesses as to the identity of Marvel Studios’ seven mystery movies recently added to the Marvel Cinematic Universe's schedule. Phase 4 of the MCU has largely existed on the small screen with Disney+’s WandaVisionThe Falcon and the Winter SoldierLoki, and What If…?. Now, the record-breaking release of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is spearheading the superhero franchise’s upcoming and jam-packed slate, stretching to summer 2023.

Following the introduction of the Eternals, December will mark the release of the most anticipated film since Avengers: EndgameSpider-Man: No Way Home. The Sorcerer Supreme’s (Benedict Cumberbatch) antics in that film will likely lead into Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Other upcoming MCU films include Thor: Love and Thunder, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, The Marvels, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3—which is set to release in May 2023. If that wasn’t enough, Disney announced dates for untitled films set for July 2023, October 2023, November 2023, February 2024, May 2024, July 2024, and November 2024 releases.

MCU hopeful, Ryan Reynolds, took to Twitter to guess what those mystery movies will be. And, his guesses are as irreverent as one would expect. Check them out below:

It’s probable Reynolds knows much more than he is leading on. Disney’s acquisition of Fox brought the Fantastic Four, X-Men, and Deadpool all under the Marvel Studios umbrella. It has already been announced that a Fantastic Four project is in development and mutants will at some point make their way into the MCU. Reynolds has said that he’s already writing Deadpool 3—which will be Marvel Studios’ first R-rated film—and recently made an appropriately satirical MCU debut as his character alongside Taika Waititi’s Korg while promoting Free Guy. Reynolds has said there’s a good chance Deadpool 3 starts filming next year and Kevin Feige has even alluded to a release date in one of those mystery spots.

In addition to Deadpool 3 and the upcoming Blade film starring Mahershala Ali, the MCU will spawn an unpredictable amount of sequels/spinoffs. Like The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, which has resulted in Captain America 4, any of the upcoming Disney+ shows introducing younger characters could lead into feature films. On top of that, Shang-Chi’s success almost guarantees a sequel, and Eternals, with all of its new characters most likely will as well. Regardless, it’s a great time for Marvel fans and an unfortunate time for those anticipating Weekend at Blind Al’s.
