Warning! Spoilers for Guardians of the Galaxy Annual #1 by Marvel Comics below

In Marvel's version of Masters of the Universe, a single Infinity Stone was just revealed to be able to destroy an entire planet - killing everyone, including satirical takes on Skeletor and He-Man. In Guardians of the Galaxy Annual #1, the Prince of Power shares his hilarious (and sad) backstory, telling Hercules he accidentally blew up his entire planet by not fully understanding the great power he possessed.

In the current Infinite Destinies crossover event, Marvel is slowly revealing the six people who have bonded with Infinity Stones and gained the great powers of the cosmic gem after Adam Warlock scattered them across the universe. The event has seen the return of Marvel's new Prince of Power, a beefcake hero who isn't the sharpest tool in the shed. In his origin story in last week's Guardians of the Galaxy Annual #1, readers learn the Prince of Power gained his powers after ingesting an Infinity Stone after mistaking it for a jelly bean. After being transformed from a skinny, ugly pen-pusher to a He-Man-esque hero, the Otherone made a huge mistake with his newfound abilities.

In Guardians of the Galaxy Annual #1 by Al Ewing, Flaviano, Rachelle Rosenberg, and VC's Cory Petit, the Prince of Power shares his origin, telling Hercules he grew up on Muscala, which is pretty much a parody of The Masters of the Universe's Eternia. The Otherone's twin brother Majestar looks nearly identical to He-Man and battles a villain, Rapskullion, who is clearly a parody of Skeletor. After accidentally eating an Infinity Stone, the Prince of Power decides to wield his brother's powerful sword, not realizing by doing so, he's throwing off the balance of Muscala.

The Prince of Power raises his sword in the air and slams it to the ground - in doing so, he charges the weapon to dangerous levels and shatters the core of the entire planet, killing everyone on it. MotU's Power Sword is an incredibly strong weapon, but the Prince of Power accidentally showed how dangerous it could be when connected to an Infinity Stone. The Otherone broke the balance of Muscala and killed everyone he ever cared about.

He-Man might not be a genius-level hero either, but in the Masters of the Universe, he's not so stupid he would destroy his entire planet by mistake. Thankfully, the Infinity Stones don't exist outside the Marvel Universe, so neither He-Man, Skeletor, or any other character could make the same mistake. Infinity Stones are not to be messed with - especially by someone as low IQ as the Prince of Power. Hopefully, he's learned a valuable lesson after destroying his planet.
