Warning! Spoilers for Fantastic Four #35 by Marvel Comics below.

The Fantastic Four will face off against every iteration of the villainous Kang the Conqueror in their upcoming 60th anniversary celebration. On Wednesday, Marvel Comics announced John Romita Jr. will be part of the creative team for Fantastic Four #35, a giant-sized issue that will see the different versions of Kang coming together to take down Marvel's First Family. The issue will feature stories from Dan Slott, Mark Waid, and Paul Renaud, as well as a story from Jason Loo.

Kang the Conqueror, created by Jack Kirby and Stan Lee, first debuted in Fantastic Four #19 as Rama-Tut, before emerging as the conqueror in The Avengers #8. The time-traveling villain has taken on many identities in the pages of Marvel Comics, including Rama-Tut, the Scarlet Centurion, Immortus, and Victor Timely. Nathaniel Richards, who originally is from the 31st Century, has been a longtime foe of the Fantastic Four. The villain will make his live-action debut in the upcoming Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, played by Jonathan Majors (Lovecraft Country).

With Kang trying to take out the Fantastic Four, the superteam will need to get creative in order to stop them. Marvel Comics also revealed The Pitiful Human-Lizard creator Jason Loo will make his Marvel Comics debut in the third story in the 60th-anniversary special.

All-in-all, it seems like Marvel Comics is pulling out all the stops to ensure the Fantastic Four's 60th-anniversary special is one to remember. Romita Jr. drawing the comic will please longtime Marvel readers, while Waid's return and Loo's debut are also incredibly exciting. Having multiple iterations of Kang team up guarantees it's going to be an epic, time-sprawling adventure. Fantastic Four #35 will be in stores August 25, 2021.
