Marvel's Inhumans

Marvel is bringing Inhumans to San Diego Comic-Con and its exclusive poster for the convention has just been revealed. Ahead of the series' debut on IMAX screens this September, the latest ABC/Marvel venture is still looking to generate further interest. The set embargo has just recently lifted and allowed us to share plenty of new details about Inhumans and its character. However, the first Inhumans trailer left much to be desired for many fans, it would seem, and added fuel to the fire already surrounding showrunner Scott Buck, after his work on Iron Fist season one.

However, the Inhumans set visit embargo lifting so close to SDCC is hopefully a sign of Marvel getting ready to reveal even more about this unique property, during the event. Marvel's already confirmed that Inhumans will have a presence at the convention with a full panel and signing booth, where the cast will be signing this exclusive poster.

IGN has now revealed the SDCC exclusive poster featuring the entire Royal Family from Inhumans. For comic and Inhumans enthusiasts, if the art looks familiar, it should. The poster was done by comic artist Jae Lee, who (along with Paul Jenkins) crafted one of the most-renowned Inhumans comic book story arcs. Following the twelve issue storyline from 1998, Lee has returned to the property almost twenty years later to give his take on the TV iteration.

Lee's design here certainly helps show some characters in new light. Even though Anson Mount's Black Bolt won't wear his classic costume, Lee's depiction allows for his costume to pop a bit more. Still, the most notable aspect of his portrayals is that they allow the chance to see Serinda Swan's Medusa hair move at last. With her hair being such a big part of her character (and following the backlash to her stiff wig in Inhumans promotional material), knowing that her hair will eventually look like this onscreen is good news. Karnak (Ken Leung), Lockjaw, Crystal (Isabelle Cornish), Maximus (Iwan Rheon), Gorgon (Eme Ikwuakor), and Triton (Mike Moh) are also depicted here.

Those in attendance at SDCC this year will have the opportunity to pick up a copy of this poster at the signing event for Inhumans. This event takes place Friday, July 21st at 10am at the Marvel Booth and will be distributed to those with passes, which are available on a first-come, first-served basis. With the poster being a limited item at a convention, hopefully Marvel has some other announcements in store to get everyone else excited. If not, bringing Lee back to the Inhumans is a nice get all the same.
