Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown may have secretly booked a role in Marvel Studios' Phase 4 movie The Eternals. Now that Spider-Man: Far From Home is out in theaters, Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is officially over. Audiences around the world may still be checking out the latest solo outing for Tom Holland's Spider-Man, but Marvel Studios is hard at work on what will come next. That includes the first several weeks of production on Black Widow, as well as gearing up for The Eternals' production this fall.

The new potential franchise is based on the ancient, cosmic, and superpowered race of the same name created by Jack Kirby, with Chloe Zhao tapped to direct the movie. In the months since she was hired, Marvel has been doing a stellar job at adding recognizable names to an otherwise unknown property. Angelina Jolie and Richard Madden are currently (unofficially) set to lead the ensemble cast of The Eternals, and now it appears Eleven is joining them and recent addition Salma Hayek.

News of Millie Bobby Brown potentially joining the cast of The Eternals comes from a recent article by Variety detailing what Marvel Studios could announce during their San Diego Comic-Con 2019 panel. Included in their rundown of the reported cast members, they included the Stranger Things star among Jolie, Madden, and Kumail Nanjiani. This piece of casting is still not confirmed, and has yet to be reiterated by another reputable source, so take this with a grain of salt for the time being.

Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven in Stranger Things Season 3

If Brown is joining the cast of The Eternals, it's a move that many have been waiting to see. Ever since she visited the set of Avengers: Infinity War and shared some time with Anthony and Joe Russo, fans have hoped that Brown would join the MCU sooner rather than later. While there are no details on who she could play if she's part of The Eternals cast, we've long had her pegged as the perfect fit for the character of Piper.

The timing of such a potential announcement couldn't come at a better time, as season 3 of Stranger Things received great critical acclaim and Brown's performance there (and in Godzilla: King of the Monsters earlier this year) further proved her ability as an actress. If her deal with The Eternals goes through, then it'll likely be the next project she does following the filming of Enola Holmes this summer. This would, of course, mean that production on season 4 of Stranger Things couldn't begin until late 2019 at the earliest. Either way, between Stranger ThingsEnola Holmes, a role in Godzilla vs Kong, and a possible role in The Eternals, there will be no shortage of Millie Bobby Brown on the big and small screens for the next few years.
