Richard Madden reveals that there are a few more casting announcements for Eternals that have yet to come. Marvel Studios is launching a brand new superhero team with the Chloe Zhao movie. Boasting a star-studded ensemble, as it turns out, the list of actors involved in the project isn't finalized just yet, with some still waiting to be formally revealed to the public.

In conjunction with the official confirmation of the project at this year's San Diego Comic-Con, Kevin Feige also unveiled the primary cast of Eternals with Angelina Jolie as Thena, Madden as Ikaris, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Lauren Ridloff as Makkari, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, Salma Hayek as Ajak, Lia McHugh as Sprite and Don Lee as Gilgamesh. Several weeks later when the Marvel Studios chief took the stage at D23, he revealed three additional actors boarding the project: Gemma Chan as Sersi, Barry Keoghan as Druig and Kit Harington as Black Knight. Still, it doesn't seem like it will stop there as Madden teased that there are more casting announcements for the film.

Speaking with British GQ after winning the Hugo Boss Most Stylish Man Award, Madden was asked about whether or not he gets star struck by some his c0-stars for Eternals. He candidly confirmed that he still gets stunned, adding that there are a few more actors who have joined the film who are just waiting to be announced. “I always get starstruck, yeah. And there’s some more actors yet to be announced in that lineup, which is gonna be crazy,” Madden said.

The Eternals Concept Art

Madden is steadily climbing the celebrity status ladder over the last few years. Since his surprising exit from Game of Thrones, he had done a few other projects, including a headlining stint in the critically acclaimed Bodyguard, and then what could be an award-season darling, Rocketman, where he played John Reid. All that being said, he has some longtime A-list co-stars in Eternals like Jolie and Hayek, so it's understandable that he feels star struck with them around. As for the actors who are yet to be announced for the project, it can be anyone at this point considering there are no active casting rumors for the film. But based on Madden's excitement, fans may be up for some big names - perhaps Keanu Reeves. After all, it's no secret Marvel Studios has been wanting him in the MCU.

Even without any additional actors joining Eternals, it's one of the most star-studded superhero teams that Marvel Studios has assembled right out of the gate, not to mention diverse as well. Granted the Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy had big name actors, but several of them were catapulted to mainstream popularity thanks to their stint in the MCU. Not much is known regarding the Eternals, but between an interesting premise and big name cast, chances are they'll experience the same level of popularity other Marvel superhero teams have been experiencing once Eternals hits theaters in 2020.
