Back in 2013, Marvel and Netflix agreed to a deal to bring four original series to the streaming service, with the plan to one day have each crossover. Daredevil kicked this off with great reception, followed by Jessica Jones and Luke Cage, and most recently the debut of Iron Fist. Each of these series has been leading to the launch of The Defenders, set to be an eight-part mini-series due out this summer.

With The Defenders being next in line to hit Netflix, marketing for the mini-series ought to pick up relatively soon. This appears to be all the more likely now that Defenders has wrapped filming (just a few days ago, at the time of writing this). Now, as part of this wrap party, a new piece of promo art and logo for the team-up have surfaced.

One of the people in attendance at the wrap party for The Defenders was Stacy Adler from Y-Cats & Jayse Craft Service and she revealed some Defenders promo art from the party, via her Instagram account. Unsurprisingly, Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and Jessica Jones are all featured prominently and with their signature red, orange, green, and purple colors respectively. Included in the art meanwhile is also Sigourney Weaver's Alexandra, plus what appears to be Elodie Yung's Elektra:

Speaking of Yung, she also revealed on Instagram what appears to be an updated logo for the Defenders mini-series:

The promo art is the first piece of marketing that has surfaced for Defenders outside of the initial teaser released last year. The looks for each of the characters is hardly a surprise, but the bigger reveal here could be how large of a presence Elektra could have if she is featured in the promotional campaign. With her currently in possession of The Hand and being touted as the Black Sky, her resurrection should be a major focus for Matt Murdock, but also give Alexandra a formidable asset to fend off the crime fighters.

As for the new logo, it is a cleaner look than the one previously shown, which continues to follow Marvel's pattern of updating logo's throughout the various stages of production. With filming now complete, this promo art being commissioned, and the reveal of a new logo, it should not be long before more official marketing begins and the long-awaited trailer arrives. Marvel and Netflix could look to start marketing earlier if they are confident in the series to try and help please fans and critics who were not as happy with their most recent series. Either way, this should only be the beginning of The Defenders marketing campaign.
