Warning! Spoilers for Venom #27 below!

Eddie and Dylan Brock have been transported to a brand new dimension that is quite different from their own. One of the biggest differences? The Avengers aren't just Earth's Mightiest Heroes readers know and love, but instead, they're symbiote versions with no intentions of letting Venom go free.

Eddie was looking for answers for his son Dylan's symbiote-related powers which led him to The Maker, the evil genius Earth-1610 version of Reed Richards. However, Eddie's quest for answers was stopped when the mysterious Virus interrupted and activated a portal that sent Eddie, Dylan, The Maker, and himself to a new dimension. Upon arriving on the unknown Earth, Virus immediately tries to get revenge on Venom, but as the pair engage in battle, Dylan is picked up by a brand new Avengers squad.

In Venom #23 by Donny Cates, Juan Gedeon, Jesus Aburtov, and Clayton Cowles, Venom and Virus's fight is temporarily stopped when Eddie is confronted by the Avengers. But, these aren't your usual Avengers, as the heroes, Captain America, Iron Man, She-Hulk, Black Panther, Black Widow, and Thor, all have symbiote logos. Captain America even has a symbiote logo on his shield. While Eddie tries to deescalate the situation by telling the symbiote Avengers he knows who they are, that's when Virus reappears in an effort to finish the job.

Venom Avengers

The Avengers tag team Virus and when he's on the ropes, he attempts to kill Captain America with a powerful blast. However, instead of blowing Captain America's head clean off, the Avenger is revealed to be an actual symbiote, as he reforms himself after suffering what would normally be a fatal blow. Cap tells Virus that he'll face punishment before their leader Codex, and that he earned himself a trip to The Hive for using anti-symbiote technology. Thankfully, Virus and the Avengers' tussle is enough for Eddie and Dylan to escape unseen.

Whatever universe Eddie, Dylan, and Virus were sent to is clearly chalked-full of symbiotes. Marvel's deadliest Avengers on the universe are formed from symbiote themselves, which is twisted and shocking. When Virus tries to kill Captain America and he simply reforms himself, it's a good indication with just how powerful these versions of the Avengers are. Getting back home won't be easy for Venom and Dylan, especially considering a whole symbiote squad of Avengers is now on their tail.
