Marvel and DC actors rallied around a terminally ill fan earlier this week, offering support and fulfilling his dying wish to be greeted by an Avenger. Multiple actors from a variety of superhero franchises rose to the call. Sadly, 11-year-old Emilio Pachon has passed away only two days later.

On March 26, 2018, Fox News @ Night host, Shannon Bream, reached out to Twitter asking for superhero actors to send greetings to Pachon. At the time of her tweet, Bream noted that Pachon was dying but did not go into details of his condition, nor was his name or age revealed. Bream later shared Pachon's name and details of his age and reports that the young superhero fan was suffering from cancer have since been confirmed. Many superhero actors were quick to lend their support.

Unfortunately, Pachon died earlier today, losing his battle with Neurofibromatosis type 1, per Fox NewsBream had met the boy's uncle on a plane, who revealed to her that he only had a few days left to live. Pachon's uncle later reached out to Bream asking if she could help his nephew achieve his wish of being greeted by an Avenger before his passing, sparking Bream's campaign to fulfill his comic book-themed wish. Bream posted the sad news of Pachon's passing on Twitter, saying that the messages Pachon was able to receive before his death had brought a sense of light to his hospital room. Check out the full tweet below:

Captain America's Chris Evans, Deadpool's Ryan Reynolds, and Avengers: Age Of Ultron's Paul Bettany offered to send messages to Pachon. Agents of SHIELD's Chloe Bennet offered to send him a message and asked for his name to be revealed before that information was available. Pachon's plight was even picked up by MCU rival DC, as Shazam's Zachary Levi offered to impersonate all of Marvel's many superpowered actors named Chris.

As seen above, Bream's Twitter thread went on to thank several Marvel and DC actors such as Captain Marvel's Clark Gregg, Iron Man 2's Don Cheadle, and The Avengers' Mark Ruffalo, along with Jake Tapper and Meghan McCain. Her twitter thread continued by informing followers of a book Pachon wrote last year that is intended to help families in similar situations. She concluded her series of tweets by assuring any superhero actors who were unable to get their messages to Pachon on time that his younger twin brothers would love to receive their support in this difficult time.
