Warning! Spoilers ahead for Daredevil #22

Things have not been going well for Daredevil recently in the Marvel Universe. While he did manage to defend Hell's Kitchen from an array of super-villains (alongside Wilson Fisk no less), Matt Murdock has finally decided to take responsibility for his actions and turn himself in for the murder of Leo Carraro, the liquor store thief who died of his wounds dealt by Daredevil. Before his trial, however, Daredevil wants to make sure things will be taken care of if he ends up going to prison. For that, he turns to Tony Stark, Iron Man.

The recent attack on Hell's Kitchen was paid for by the Stromwyns, a brother/sister pair of billionaires who are seeking revenge not only against their rival Wilson Fisk but also due to the fact that Elektra and Daredevil recently stole billions from them and redistributed it to several different charities. Angered, the Stromwyns wanted to cause absolute chaos and mayhem as a result, and scoop up the cheap real estate along the way.

Now, before Daredevil is potentially convicted and thrown in prison, he wants to prevent the Stromwyns from abusing Hell's Kitchen any further. With the knowledge that the Stromwyn's developer is currently trying to buy up all the buildings and housing developments, Daredevil asks the only billionaire he remotely trusts to help him by making a counteroffer: Tony Stark.

Asking Tony to buy the entire neighborhood of Hell's Kitchen is a huge ask, as it would no doubt cost billions of dollars. However, Daredevil goes further, telling Iron Man that he needs Tony to rent the buildings to the residents for next to nothing, and then likewise sell them to the residents for next to nothing after Daredevil's dealt with the Stromwyns. Initially, Tony thinks he's crazy. Daredevil's asking him to throw any billions of dollars, with no chance to get back any kind of meaningful returns. However, Daredevil helps him realize that he wouldn't be throwing away billions. He'd be giving people homes and security, many of whom whose lives were turned upside down during the attack and would end up displaced, with many ending up on the streets. He doesn't want Iron Man to think that he thinks he's not a hero, but Daredevil is challenging Iron Man to do more.

While Iron Man says that he'll think about buying Hell's Kitchen, it seems more than likely that he'll end up doing it. Daredevil's speech was just way too good. Daredevil knows that Tony will do it too, as it's just the right thing to do. With that out of the way, it seems as though all that's left for Daredevil to do before his trial is take out the Stromwyns, which will be no easy task. Hopefully, Daredevil will be able to deal with them before his ability to do so is taken away from him when he potentially goes behind bars.
