Collectors, get ready as Marvel Comics has unveiled a series of new variant covers that pay homage to some of the greatest comics and covers of all time. This week, Marvel revealed ten new variant covers that will release later this year, paying tribute to the first appearance of Spider-Man, Wolverine, Venom, and more!

Marvel Comics has published comics since the early '60s, with many iconic heroes making their debuts during the decade. The likes of the Hulk, Fantastic Four, Spider-Man, and Thor all made their first appearances in the early '60s. Over time Marvel would continue to introduce new heroes and villains, with different decades providing some incredible new characters - with highlights including Wolverine's first appearance in the '70s, Venom's first appearance in the '80s, Deadpool's first appearance in the '90s

Among the new covers Marvel shared as part of their Homage Variant Covers series include Stephen Mooney and Chris Sotomayor's recreation of Jack Kirby's Strange Tales #110, the first appearance of Doctor Strange. The cover is for the upcoming The Death of Doctor Strange #5.

David Nakayama homages Jack Kirby's The Incredible Hulk #1 for the upcoming Hulk #3.

Pete Woods honors Jack Kirby, with a modern take on Iron Man's first appearance in the classic Tales of Suspense #31. Readers can get the cover when it releases with Iron Man #16.

Crees Lee and Rachelle Rosenberg take another iconic Kirby cover for Thor's first appearance in Journey into Mystery #83 and do their own stunning take on it. The cover will appear in the upcoming Thor #21.

David Yardin and Chris Sotomayor give Spider-Man the symbiote treatment in an homage to Todd McFarlane's incredible Amazing Spider-Man #300 cover. Marvel will release the cover alongside Venom #4.

Will Sliney and Rachelle Rosenberg bring the Hulk and Wolverine's first fight back in an homage to Herbert Trimpe's The Incredible Hulk #181 cover. The tribute to Wolverine's first appearance will release with X Lives of Wolverine #1.

Ken Lashley and Juan Fernandez channel the '90s and Rob Liefeld's New Mutants #98 cover, where Deadpool first appeared. The cover will release alongside X-Men Legends #11.

Peach Momoko homages perhaps the most iconic comic cover of all time, as she takes on Spider-Man's first appearance and Kirby's Amazing Fantasy #15 cover. The cover can be purchased on Amazing Spider-Man #85

Mike McKone and Chris Sotomayor tackle Maximum Carnage in a homage to Mark Bagely and Randy Emberlin's Amazing Spider-Man #362. The cover will appear on Amazing Spider-Man #86.

Lastly, Philip Tan and Federico Blee take on Kirby's iconic Captain America #100 cover, the first ongoing series for the hero. The cover will release on Captain America/Iron Man #3.

The Homage Variant Cover Series from Marvel Comics will begin releasing in the first week of 2022 and come out throughout the month.
