There are plenty of amazing places that we are taken to in all 23 films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and it's certainly come a long way since the first Iron Man movie was released in 2008.

Once the MCU started gaining some momentum, the storylines became more ambitious, and so did the visual effects and locations that the films were set in. Every MCU film has incredible scenery in one form or another, however, some stand out more than others.

Here are 10 of the most scenic locations in the MCU, ranked:

Tony's Cabin – Endgame

Tony Stark and Pepper Potts' lakeside cabin in Avengers: Endgame was so well received by movie-goers, in the wake of the movie, fans went and found the cabin on Airbnb and started booking to stay there.

The cabin is located in Georgia in real life, and although unclear where it is located in the movie, it's definitely one of the more tranquil spots in the MCU.

The Netherlands – Far From Home

The scene in Spider-Man: Far From Home where Peter is rescued by Happy in the Netherlands is quite unique and visually stunning. The shot is a multicolored tulip field, which was all done through VFX.

It's at a time in the movie where Spider-Man is depleted and doesn't know who he can trust, so the fact he is rescued in such an incredible landscape is probably a nod to the creativeness that Peter has inherited from the recently deceased Iron Man.

Avengers Facility – Endgame

Set on the outskirts of New York City, the Avengers facility features heavily in Avengers: Endgame. Even though Thanos blew it to pieces at the end of the movie, for the time that it was standing, the facility was the perfect spot for the heroes to rendezvous after the chaos of Infinity War.

The facility in real life is actually based in East Anglia in the United Kingdom, and fans of the film can visit the facility although it does not have a time machine and there probably won't be any infinity stones.

The Farm – Endgame

Thanos retreated to his farm on a distant planet after the snap in Infinity War wiped out 50% of all living creatures. As the snap almost killed the mad titan, he decided to retire from being a war criminal and become some sort of farmer/gardener on his own for the rest of his life.

Considering Thanos had the pick of the entire universe when it came to retirement locations, he does choose a pretty scenic planet and the visuals when he is picking fruit at the start of Endgame are glorious.

Sakaar – Thor: Ragnarok

Sakaar is a waste planet, ruled by Jeff Goldblum's Grandmaster character, and littered with Marvel comic book Easter eggs that will hopefully return in later Thor movies.

Even though it's seen as a waste planet, Sakaar is one of the most colorful MCU planets out there, especially when there is a Hulk-themed street party that Thor and Bruce Banner stumble into while trying to escape.

Xandar – Guardians Of The Galaxy

Xandar features in both Guardians Of The Galaxy and Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2, as well as getting mentions in Thor: Ragnarok and Infinity War. The planet is the capital of the Nova Empire, a group that is yet to be properly introduced in the MCU.

Extremely bright and welcoming, this planet is reminiscent of a typical sci-fi city set above the clouds. Guardians as a whole produced some spectacular settings, but Xandar was one of the highlights.

Vormir – Infinity War/Endgame

Vormir is the home of the Soul Stone, and to reach the Soul Stone one must make the ultimate sacrifice by sacrificing the thing they love the most. Thanos does this in Infinity War when he sacrifices Gamora, and then Clint Barton does the same in Endgame when Black Widow dies.

When the Soul Stone is obtained, the whole of Vormir is displayed in its stunning form, and although the planet only features briefly in the MCU, its aesthetics are extremely pleasing.

Ego – Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2

Ego is Peter Quill's (Star-Lord) father and is the main villain in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2; however, he actually isn't a person, but a Celestial who can appear however he likes.

The planet that he's based on, and the one that the Guardians come across during the film, is beautiful and acts as a paradise for the intergalactic mishaps. That is until the team figures out that Ego is actually a planet-eating maniac and his planet, along with himself, is destroyed.

Asgard – Thor Trilogy

Asgard is the home-place of the Asgardians, a Nordic type alien race that is ruled by the God of thunder, and Avengers member Thor. In the Thor movies, Asgard is featured heavily and is more of a space palace than a planet.

Whenever there are scenes on Asgard, they tend to be fairly comedic. Asgard is destroyed in Thor: Ragnarok and is rebuilt on Earth, but it is not as glorious.

Wakanda – Black Panther

The most scenic place in the entire MCU is not actually visible on the map. Wakanda is hidden on the continent of Africa and is the home of the Black Panther and the powerful element vibranium.

The city in Wakanda is beautiful and cultured in a way that opened the MCU's universe to new possibilities and helped Black Panther gain a few award nominations.
