During a panel at TJH Superhero Car Show & Comic Con, Breaking Bad's Giancarlo Esposito announced that he has met with Marvel Studios about potential MCU roles. It is not surprising that Esposito has met with Marvel, considering his surge in popularity after his prominent feature in not only Breaking Bad but also its spin-off show Better Call Saul and the latest excursion in The Mandalorian.

These three incredibly popular shows have garnered Esposito a huge network of fans that regularly rally to see him in more high-profile projects, and his chance in the MCU may get him to that point. Despite Esposito's absence from live-action comic book projects, many fans have fancast him in Marvel roles over the years, some of which Esposito acknowledged during the panel. With Marvel fans across the globe going into a frenzy, many try to predict which MCU role Esposito could acquire after his mind-blowing reveals.

Purple Man

Zebediah Kilgrave, AKA Purple Man, is a supervillain who has the ability to control the minds and command the actions of others at will. Actor David Tennant initially portrayed Kilgrave in Jessica Jones, but with the level of the show's canonicity to the MCU still unclear, there is a chance the character may be recast when and if he officially debuts in the MCU.

Esposito has great potential as Purple Man as evident from his powerful, intense screen presence as Gus Fring in Breaking Bad. He can easily control a scene with his intimidating demeanor - as also shown in The Mandalorian - and certainly has the acting chops to believably portray all the twisted emotions associated with this character.

Silver Surfer

Marvel's Silver Surfer

Silver Surfer is one of Marvel's most noble heroes of all, using his power to maintain freedom throughout the universe. Silver Surfer uses his Cosmic Surfboard and access to The Power Cosmic to help teams like The Fantastic Four defeat evil - no matter its form.

Esposito is a great casting for MCU's Silver Surfer in the Fantastic Four franchise due to his authoritative, booming voice, which would suit the character well, and his similar physique. After expressing his desire to play characters different from what he's used to, the heroic Silver Surfer would be the perfect change for Esposito, who has frequently been playing antagonists for most of his career.

Doctor Doom

Doctor-Doom as seen in the King Space comics

Victor von Doom is one of Marvel's most powerful villains. As a master of magic, technology, and strategy, Doom is the Fantastic Four's main antagonist but has also defeated the likes of The Avengers and The X-Men in the past. It is only a matter of time before Doctor Doom enters The MCU, with the character easily having the potential to be a future big bad and a prominent character in several Marvel franchises.

Doctor Doom is one of the most popular fan casting for Esposito. As Doom is worthy of sticking around for decades in the MCU and is a similar age to Reed Richards, who is rumored to be around 30 in his MCU debut (according to GameRant), Esposito may be slightly old for this role at 64. However, Esposito undoubtedly has the acting capability and commanding on-screen presence to portray an older take on this villain extremely well.

Professor X

Professor X looks up and uses his telepathy in a Marvel comic.

Professor X is the X-Men's mutant leader who possesses impressive abilities, such as mind control and telepathy. Surprisingly, Patrick Stewart reprised his role as a Professor X variant in Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and this cameo, alongside Ms. Marvel's mutant reveal, suggests an official MCU Professor X debut is not far off.

Esposito explicitly expressed interest in playing this character, claiming he would most like to play Professor X as this role is something different. Although Esposito is yet to show off a perfected British accent, characters like Gus Fring demonstrated that he can play a supposedly moral, humble, and loved character with a hidden dark side, which implies he could effortlessly play a great Xavier.

Ghost Dancer

Ghost Dancer is a centuries-old sorcerer from The Caribbean, who has used his powers to defeat the likes of The Goddess Erida and a zombie army in the past. As a member of The Department of The Uncanny, Ghost Dancer precariously rides the line between good and evil, with Agatha Harkness being one of his closest allies. Ghost Dancer could appear in many supernatural MCU projects, most notably Agatha: Coven Of Chaos.

Esposito would be an excellent fit for this role, not only due to his strong physical resemblance to the character but also his previous experience in horror movies, such as Poker Night. Esposito undoubtedly has the experience to portray this character and has leeway in how he would manifest Ghost Dancer due to the character's underrated nature.

Brother Voodoo

Brother Voodoo uses his powers in Marvel Comics.

Brother Voodoo is a champion of the supernatural with the ability to commune with the dead, alongside other mystical powers. Although originally portrayed as a hero, this character has taken a more villainous turn in recent years. This character has strong ties to Doctor Strange, even replacing him as Sorcerer Supreme in the comics, so it isn't farfetched to expect this character to debut in any future Doctor Strange or magic-related project soon.

Esposito has the acting capability to portray Brother Voodoo with ease, alongside a physical resemblance to the character. With a lot of experience playing villains alongside a desire to play a hero, this may be an excellent role for Esposito to acquire and evolve within during Brother Voodoo's MCU arc. Plus, in regard to trying something new, this sorcerer is unlike any character Esposito has played before.

Knull

Knull sits on a throne and smiles in Marvel Comics.

Knull is the eldritch God of Darkness and creator of the symbiotes, who has the potential to be a major Marvel villain going forwards, possibly allowing for a major MCU and SPUMC crossover. After Venom's cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home and The Necrosword's feature in Thor: Love and Thunder, the MCU may be setting up this villain for a debut in the future.

Esposito could play this villain's sinister, cold-hearted, and twisted personality well, utilizing his mercilessly evil side, as shown in Breaking Bad. Due to Esposito's fame, he would not look out of place battling the likes of Tom Holland's Spider-Man or Tom Hardy's Venom and absolutely nail a live-action portrayal of this major villain, with the opportunity to play this character in several projects if he pleased.

Magneto

Magneto is one of The X-Men and wider Marvel universe's biggest foes. With the ability to control the magnetic spectrum and a vicious group of evil mutants under his command, Magneto strives to conquer the world and allow mutants to be the dominant species. Due to his prominence in X-Men comics, a Magneto debut is inevitable when the X-Men will soon join the cinematic universe.

Giancarlo Esposito as Magneto is one of the most-popular fan castings on the internet due to his talent when playing commanding, merciless, and driven villains. Magneto is often portrayed as an older character (currently in his eighties), and with Esposito being sixty-four years old, he is the perfect age to portray this character, potentially for a decade or more. This would also help differentiate MCU Magneto from Michael Fassbender's Magneto, as he was in his thirties when first appearing as Magneto.

Blue Marvel

Galactus is a cosmic being, who survives by consuming planets and the energy stored within them. This extremely powerful villain is a prime contender for a future MCU big bad and may show up in a future Fantastic Four movie due to his strong affiliation with the team in the comics.

Esposito would be an excellent Galactus, not only because of his acting chops and expressive facial expressions but also because of his deep, daunting voice, which would fit this powerful character. He could portray this character in a very brooding, intimidating manner and no doubt terrify viewers with his performance, even if it isn't as stunt heavy as other villains featured in the universe.
