Fans did not have faith in Miles and Karen when they appeared on Married At First Sight season 11. Karen seemed apprehensive and cold throughout the entire process and viewers did not appreciate this. Viewers thought that she was leading Miles on, as he seemed to be the only one making an effort. The couple has since clarified that the editing made it seem like she didn't care. On their YouTube channel, she remarked that she appeared disinterested due to the bad edit. Despite all this, the couple is going strong after more than a year of marriage.

The couple's happily ever after did not start on a good note. Karen managed to see Miles before their wedding day, via Instagram. She did not like what she saw. Karen commented that she felt that Miles put himself out there too much on social media and she was very different. She worried that they would be incompatible. Throughout the process, it seemed as though they struggled to truly connect. Miles wanted affection from Karen, but she was hesitant about opening her heart up again. Fans did not think they would last and were surprised when they both decided to stay married to each other. The pair did comment that the added time on the experiment, due to the lockdown regulations, helped them bond.

The pair have launched their own YouTube channel, just like fellow castmates Woody and Amani. Also, like their castmates, the pair featured on the cover of MunaLuchi Magazine. The New Orleans couple that MAFS fans adore was dressed to the nines on the cover. Miles and Karen looked gorgeous and in love. Miles posted a few shots from the shoot on Instagram and captioned it, “She got wife written all over.” They also recently celebrated their one-year anniversary, teasing a romantic video that is soon to come on their YouTube channel.

In the beginning, viewers were not sure about Miles and Karen, and without the extended time, they may not have lasted. However, the pair look splendidly happy together, one year into the marriage. They were one of those slow-burning couples on the show. They needed a little time to make it work. They are reminiscent of flight attendant Clara Fergus and her partner Ryan Oubre, who are also taking their time on Married At First Sight season 12.

Fans have mostly compared Miles to Vincent, who is paired with Briana. Their calm demeanor and cool nature are the reasons why they are considered similar. This isn't too far-fetched, but Vincent has confessed to having a bit of a temper, unlike Miles. Miles even said that he would add Vincent to one of the Instagram Lives that does with Karen. Miles and Karen are lucky to have each other, as they found something in one another that others on the show have struggled to find. Miles and Karen may have struggled, but at least they pushed through it. They are a great Married At First Sight couple with a bright future ahead of them.
