Lindsey Georgoulis from Married at First Sight is garnering a big reputation for her even bigger personality, and it’s time to learn a little more about her. She married Mark Maher last summer on MAFS and was completely enamored with him. On the other hand, that didn’t stop Mark from having some reservations, especially when she started butting heads with her castmates on day 2. He admitted to MAFS: The Afterparty host Keshia Knight Pulliam that he confronted her then and there. Yelling and unnecessary confrontation weren’t what he wanted in a wife. Thankfully, she was receptive to feedback.
Despite Lindsey’s endless energy and quick temper, she and Mark were one of the more compatible couples, right from the start. They had a beautiful wedding and enjoyed getting to know one another. Mark also revealed that they spent hours after the wedding walking the streets of Boston together after venturing out for a snack. There were even some cuddles and more than a few smooches. Lindsey’s dad gave Mark great advice, saying that he would need a lot of patience. When she told the MAFS cast to speak Spanish, Lindsey definitely came off as a"Karen" to fans. However, in her day-to-day life, Lindsey seems to find productive ways to channel her over-the-top personality.
According to her LinkedIn, Lindsey currently works as a registered nurse and COVID-19 Project Manager. The pandemic needs outgoing, upbeat, and hard-working personalities like Lindsey, who provide help at hospitals. Work appears to be a place where Lindsey thrives. She touts herself as a skilled presenter, educator, and project leader, and positively impacts her work environment. When the 34-year-old isn’t working, she seems to enjoy looking for new activities and excitement to fill her time.
While Lindsey’s Instagram is private, her bio describes her as an "Adventurer/Explorer/Bad A*s/Nurterer/Lover/." While some might argue there’s some redundancy in that description, her desire to make the most of life (and her big heart) are evident on the show. ” MAFS's Lindsey may not make a great impression, but that's not her number one concern. Lindsey also shared a quote in her bio, which is written in Latin. It reads, “Esse Quam Videri.” The phrase translates to “to be rather than to seem. Lindsey’s showing some self-awareness here. She knows she can seem like a piece of work. However, her priority isn’t what her fans, family, or friends think of her. Instead, she aims to live in the moment and embrace every opportunity to be present.
In recent years, Lindsey has been one of the most exciting castmates to join MAFS. While she may have a tendency to stir the pot, that’s what a great television personality does. Lindsey has also shown Mark and audiences that she has the capacity to self-reflect and tighten up her act. Whether or not her Married at First Sight journey ends in love, she’ll continue to be herself and pursue her passions.
