Jamie Otis is leaving Married at First Sight to spend more time with Doug Hehner and her kids, and she's posted some of the cutest family photos over the years. Jamie and Doug fell in love while filming the popular reality series, and they are one of the greatest success stories from the series. Jamie completely invested herself in the show and appreciates everything that her involvement with MAFS gave her. She hosted Married at First Sight: Unfiltered for a decade. Jamie said that hosting the show was a dream job, and completely devoted herself to the role.
Over the years, Jamie sadly had miscarriages but also had children. She has always powered through and overcome obstacles. However, she recently announced that she would be exiting the franchise. Married at First Sight: Afterparty will replace Married At Sight: Unfiltered. Longtime MAFS fan Keshia Knight Pulliam will host the new show. While Jamie did feel somewhat blindsided when her job ended, she now sees the showrunners' decision as a blessing in disguise. Hopefully, more time with her family will allow Jamie to make more happy memories that she shares online.
A Dr. Seuss-Inspired Halloween
On Halloween, Doug, Jamie, and their kids dressed up as Dr. Seuss characters, Thing 1, Thing 2, and Thing 3. Throughout the years, Jamie from MAFS has loved staying in touch with fans on Instagram. Jamie said, "We have no idea where we will be this Halloween..we could be out exploring in an RV, parked at a campsite, or all four of us moved into my in-laws spare room bc we couldn't hack the RV life🤪.... there's really no telling.🤷🏼♀️😂BUT, no matter where we are I can promise you WE WILL BE DRESSING UP!👻🎃"
A Rosy Family Portrait
In August, Jamie posted a beautiful shot of the family in front of a wall of pink and white roses. She wanted to pause and share her gratitude for Doug as they tackled couples therapy together. She wrote, "Expecting one person to be your EVERYTHING is obvs silly🤦🏼♀️ By the end of our therapy sesh I apologized to Doug for putting so much pressure on him & he apologized to me for the same exact thing🤪. " Jamie has been quick to give raw updates on her marriage.
An Adorable Picture Of Baby Hendrix
The photo was a recent throwback to Jamie's son Hendrix, who was working on his standing skills before walking. The picture was taken at home in Sarasota, Florida. She discussed how her daughter Gracie was a dedicated big sister to baby Hendrix and loved helping him tackle new skills.
The Family Members Pose With Their Dog Lady
In March, Jamie shared a happy reunion photo with their pooch Lady. She wrote, "Doug was crying.😢I was screaming like a WILD person all throughout the neighborhood...that we just moved to.🤪 What a way to meet the neighbors & say hi.🤦🏼♀️🤣" She also thanked social media for Lady's safe return."
Jamie has stayed refreshingly honest about the ups and downs of her family dynamic. She and Doug seem committed to always bettering their relationship. They want to keep their family happy and healthy over the long term. While Married at First Sight fans will be sorry to see Jamie go, her family will be thrilled to have more of her time, and fans will be delighted to see more pics of her, Doug, and the children.
