The Married At First Sight experts are finally speaking out. Dr. Viviana recently shut down accusations that they create terrible pairings on purpose. She handles the emotional and physical aspects of the selection process and she defended the pairing of Paige and Chris.

Viewers of Married At First Sight are tired of the dysfunctional matches they have seen so far on the hit show. The experts have continued to come under fire for their mismatches. They are starting to leave a bitter taste in viewers' mouths because every season there is a drama couple, or even two. With the coming season of Married At First Sight currently being cast in Boston, viewers are unenthusiastic to see the couples due to the inability of the experts to vet these people effectively. Dr. Cal used the excuse that they were in a pandemic so they could not fact-check properly. But even before the pandemic, their matches were bad. When they matched Christina and Henry, they were not in a pandemic. When they matched Luke and Kate, they were not in the middle of a crisis, either. Both couples ended in disaster. However, Dr. Viviana came to the forefront to defend the choices and decisions of the experts.

Dr. Viviana said in an interview with Associated Press, “I can see why people are struggling to see why we would match them.” She went on to say that there were couples that seemed “100%” compatible on paper but when they met it did not work out. She also denied claims that some couples are matched for drama and storylines. “If we were to make that happen and create explosive train wrecks, I almost feel like that could be beyond dangerous, not just emotionally but physically. So, we try to avoid that as much as possible.”

Dr. Viviana may have spoken up, but it does not ease fans' unease at the future pairings. Many fans have wondered if it is time for a change in experts because, despite Dr. Viviana speaking out, fans are still quite angry. Viewers commented on the interview, “You're such a liar. These 'experts' definitely match people for ratings.” Other fans did not buy what she was saying, and they questioned that if they did vet them properly then why would they include a person who was engaged less than three months ago. Fans were egging Paige on to simply “throw” Chris away and try to move on from the marriage.

With all that is going on in their marriage after only being together for a few days, no one would blame her for walking away. Dealing with a baby mama is one thing, but rumor has it the baby mama may not be his ex-fiancé. The story continues to deepen with Chris Williams. Married At First Sight experts need to reassess the way they evaluate people eligible to appear on the show because not everyone goes on for the right reasons.
