Of all the unpopular newlyweds featured on Married at First Sight, few are as disliked as Chris Williams, who continues his villainous behavior online since departing from one of the best reality TV shows. Chris was viewed as an antagonist because his multitude of red flags were noticeable on Married at First Sight season 12, and he has shown that the concerns about him were valid during the reality dating show. While he won't appear in the upcoming MAFS season 18, Chris remains a prominent cast member.

Chris made his reality television debut on the MAFS season 12 premiere in January 2021. On his wedding day, Chris was working as an entrepreneur and finance manager. The show's relationship experts matched Chris with Paige Banks, a 25-year-old accountant. Chris came with a lot of baggage, as he was engaged to another woman only three months before getting married to Paige in the season 12 premiere. Although MAFSviewers saw the warning signs, Paige made terrible decisions throughout her marriage. She returned to Chris no matter how he behaved. Paige even gave Chris another chance after Decision Day, which might have prompted the entrepreneur to keep up his troubled antics online.

During season 12, Chris showed himself to be one of MAFS' greatest villains. Chris expressed that he wanted a wife who wouldn't use him for his money and would be submissive. Chris' comments portrayed him as a narcissist right off the bat. Rest assured, his behavior did not improve after the pair's first day as a married couple. Chris manipulated by making sexual comments to Paige.

Chris often made sexually charged comments about Paige but then told her he wasn't attracted to her after they were intimate. Eventually, Chris dropped the bomb that he wanted to return to his ex-fiancee to see if he could make it work with her instead of Paige. His rude treatment and entitled attitude made Chris the ultimate MAFS villain.

Since exiting the experimental dating series, Chris has maintained his infamous reputation. On his now-deleted Instagram, Chris regularly posted memes and statements that showed that his rude behavior wasn't limited to the show. In August 2022, Chris shared an Instagram post, "Josh got paid: $95,000. He gave his lady: $94,500. What is Josh?" Chris captioned his answer to the questionable prompt, "A victim."

Chris shared a similar sentiment in a TikTok video that's currently unavailable, where he conveyed his frustration over women wanting to share the food he ordered for himself at a restaurant. One of Chris's followers told him to order more food so he could share. Chris' posts feature a theme centered on him resenting sharing things with women. Additionally, Chris was pestered by critics for adding a meme that made fun of the way women dress while dropping their kids off at school. One irritated user called him out for insulting Black women.

Chris has never been a popular Married at First Sight alum. However, his continually offensive behavior online after the reality show might cement him as one of the least-liked husbands in the dating series' history. From expressing his resentment toward women to sharing memes making fun of their appearance, Chris has continued to play his role as the villain long after cameras stopped filming. While he couldn't make his marriage last, Chris' legacy as Married at First Sight's greatest antagonist lives on.
