Chris Williams has had enough. The Married At First Sight villain of season 12 recently defended himself against the barrage of criticism he has been receiving as of late. In his firing line were Jamie Otis and Doug Hefner, who made remarks about his behavior towards Paige.

Jamie Otis and Doug Hefner are OG’s of Married At First Sight as they appeared on the first season of the hit show. They started like Paige and Chris as Jamie had a mini panic attack when she first saw Doug because she was not attracted to him. This was a point of tension throughout their time on their season. They eventually sorted out their differences and are Married At First Sight’s longest-running couple. They are a prime example of looking past the physical.

Chris Williams was tired of people coming from him and according to Soap Dirt decided to dish out what people had been serving him these past few weeks, starting with Jamie and Doug. Chris pointed out that what Jamie had done to Doug was no different from what he had done to Paige. Chris claimed that what Jamie did was much worse, as she started crying and shaking after she had seen Doug.

This all started with a comment Jamie posted underneath a post from the official Married At First Sight Instagram page which said, “Paige, no one would blame ya if you wanted to RUN!I feel so bad for the mess you’re in!😭 Girllll, you deserve so much better!” However, Chris was not having it. He came back with a quickness and rebutted her statements reminded her of the fact that she cried throughout her wedding day after meeting Doug. Chris then said, “Nothing no one has ever done to their spouse ever compares to that. After you two failed stints on the bachelor? You and your husband’s story of redemption afterwards is amazing, but you would think there would be a little more grace from you.” Chris did make some valid points, considering how Jamie and Doug fell in love. It took time for Jamie to look past the physical and realize he was a great husband, and now they are happy with two children.

However, the fact remains Chris’ timeline is still off, and even before the attraction issue, he was exhibiting other red flags. The similarities between him and Jamie end where they did not find their spouses attractive and their terrible attitudes during the wedding. But a child, a baby, and a pregnant woman? That is something that cannot simply be explained away. He got onto the show knowing full and well that he had a child on the way because it has been revealed the baby mother is not his ex-fiancé’s, but another woman.

Paige got pulled into a world of messiness she does not deserve to be involved in. She may stay with him and they may work it out, but chances are she will leave. It is too much baggage to take on for someone she met less than a week ago.
