There has been a lot of fan speculation about some of the worst wives to ever appear on Married At First Sight. Certain wives cast on the show have been called manipulative and downright conniving by fans. Over the course of the MAFS seasons, there have been wives who had criminal records, who were simply cold, and even some who were obsessed with their phones so much that they didn’t care about their relationships.
Many contestants who go on Married At First Sight don’t seem to realize what they are signing up for. Moreover, at times, it feels as though they are just in love with the idea of marriage like Paige but do not want to put in the effort to make it work. Katie (Season 10)
Many Married At First Sight fans agree that Katie is one of the worst wives to ever appear on the show. One Reddit commenter said, “Obviously Katie. No competition there.” They could be referring to the fact that Katie admitted to still having feelings for her ex, which Pastor Cal was aware of. She also didn’t put enough effort into getting to know him, and although they stayed together on decision day, they soon filed for divorce.
Mia (Season 7)
Married At First Sight season 7 star Mia, who was married to Tristan, was brought up in the conversation as well. The fans declared, “Mia has to make the list! Arrest warrant and lying about the situation instead of coming clean! What a train wreck!” This fan could be referring to the fact that Mia was arrested at the airport before going on her honeymoon. The marriage with Tristan was plagued with mistrust, and they ultimately got divorced as well.
Taylor (Season 10)
Taylor is also perceived as a pretty bad Married At First Sight wife, but the fans acknowledge that Brandon was also a very difficult person. The Reddit commenters were hesitant to include her, but one MAFS fan recalled her wrongdoings while on the show: “Taylor absolutely needs to be on the list. She was ridiculously self-centred, manipulative and constantly playing into the victim role.” Their marriage was a bit of a rollercoaster that had many ups and downs. From Brandon's hatred of production to Taylor running to social media to air out their issues, their marriage broke down and the two chose to divorce. In fact, Brandon did not come to the MAFS reunion because Taylor filed a restraining order against him.
Molly (Season 6)
Last but not least, some fans also threw around Molly’s name in the ring. She admitted towards the end of their marriage that she didn’t treat her ex-husband Jonathan well, and even called him "disgusting" during a heated argument. Like other Married At First Sight stars Olivia and Brett, they divorced and have since moved on. The fans love to talk about the bad husbands of the franchise but often forget about the bad wives. Alas, they’ve been there in the past and there will probably be more to come on Married At First Sight.
