What happened to Sheila and Nate from Married at First Sight after they divorced? This once-loving couple has remained pretty low-key now that they're no longer an item. Ultra-religious Sheila met her much younger husband-to-be on season 5 of Married at First Sight. The pair appeared to be very attracted to each other. Nate gushed about loving Sheila's gamine femininity. Meanwhile, Sheila, who was looking for her king, seemed to find him in the charming young businessman. In the beginning, their main issue was family acceptance. Sheila was dismayed to discover that Nate's family wasn't on board with her. Nate also realized how deep in her faith his new wife was. Their issues didn't seem insurmountable - at first. Sure, they fought on the show. Sheila also became increasingly more emotional as the process continued. Still, the couple decided to stay together on Decision Day. Sheila had even taken Nate's last name. The experts seemed convinced that this was a love built to last. Everyone did. In a short amount of time, however, this relationship began to unravel behind the seams. There were cryptic social media posts and eventually, things got ugly.
In November 2017, Sheila posted the following tweet: "Just got a call from the woman who's been sleeping with my husband...the same woman who he called on the honeymoon." She even dropped the bombshell that Nate had allegedly admitted to the affair. Nate wasn't having it. He quickly responded to the accusation, saying, "Prior to any statements made about me, we were no longer living together and I already filed for divorce." Nate continued: This was known to both parties, my lawyer, and the lawyer for the show. The reason that led me to file for divorce from Ms. Downs was thoroughly understood by all parties as well. Infidelity was not a reason, nor did I ever admit such a thing." Nate and Sheila finally divorced in 2017.
Since their split, Nate has moved on. His last-known relationship was with a single mom named Nastassja. The couple hasn't posted any photos of each other on social media in quite some time, so it remains to be seen if they're still an item. Nate has kept busy traveling and making club appearances, per his Instagram. It also looks like he developed his own beverage line called Duey Juice. As for Sheila, after divorcing Nate, she changed her name to Sheila Latrice. She then went through the process of updating each of her social media profiles with her new moniker. Her last known relationship was with a businessman named Terrell Wilson. That's pretty much all Sheila wants anyone to know about her since her accounts have been made private.
Sheila was incredibly insecure throughout the taping of her season. Sometimes, if it doesn't feel right, it's not right. It's a shame that she didn't honor those red flags from the beginning. Nate was a decent enough guy, but Sheila is a slightly more established, attractive, professional woman.
If he was vacillating that much on the show, she should have had the courage to move on then. Married at First Sight sets up the couples to believe that they're at fault for divorcing. Still, if the experts have partnered someone with a match that has fundamentally different values from their own, that's a perfect reason to cut bait. Nate seems happy with his new relationship, but more importantly, Sheila seems to finally be happy and have peace as well.
