The Married at First Sight couples are finally settling into domestic life, but Henry and Christina could call it quits prematurely. Last week, the couples were navigating conversations about their future, leaving some newlyweds closer than ever and others on the outs. Miles and Karen enjoyed a week of private dinners and connection, but a sour miscommunication on sex and intimacy resulted in Karen walking out on him.
Christina revealed that getting off her ADD medication is likely the cause of the impatience Henry complains about. Inching into first place for most compatible, Woody confessed his love to Amani, but she didn't return the 3 magic words. Amelia and Bennett admitted to having sex for the first time, and like always, Olivia is frustrated with Brett's immaturity and evasiveness during conversations.
Henry and Christina
Henry and Christina seemed to find a rhythm, even though there's yet to be any romantic sparks. At a group lunch with Woody and Amani and Olivia and Brett, Henry called Christina "sexy" when discussing last week's salsa lesson. But of course, all that's good never lasts long with these two. Henry told Amani that Christina's impatience is a deal breaker, though admitting she had relaxed the past few days. Christina didn't react well, confronting Henry about how she rarely hears his opinions directly. During the fatal conversation, Henry told Christina that he sees "0% chance of hope" for the long run.
Woody and Amani
Amani and Woody recounted their upbringing to determine whether or not to spank their children, with the two agreeing to disagree on the matter. Later in the week, Woody and Miles visit the barbershop, and Miles is shocked to hear that Woody told Amani he loved her. Woody however, is not as impressed with Miles' relationship, warning Miles that taking things at Karen's slow pace could lead to no romantic progress at all. Woody and Amani ended off their week with a romantic dinner, where Woody made it abundantly clear that he's in it for the long haul.
Bennett and Amelia
There's trouble in paradise as the lovebirds had their first disagreement over cleanliness. Bennett, annoyed with Amelia, had the couple self-assign chores to prevent tension. Returning to their usual selves, the pair showed off their intimacy during a Bocce ball session with Karen and Miles. Later, Bennett surprised Amelia with a home-cooked meal and musical performance from his friends Joanna & Rachel. Bennett, however, is wary of how well things are going, and hopes Amelia's infatuation with him isn't clouding her judgement.
Karen and Miles
At the top of the episode, Karen reveal that she slept at her apartment after Miles' immature sex deadline made her feel "unsafe." Miles was genuinely apologetic while admitting that he took the joke too far. The couple reconciled, but Miles worried the ordeal set them back on their path to intimacy. They were touchy-feely during Bocce ball, and Karen initiated further intimacy by surprising Miles with a relaxing full body massage guided by a yoga instructor.
Olivia and Brett
Olivia, used to living on her own, is having trouble integrating her home life with Brett's. On the upside, a date to a rock climbing facility reminded her of the fun adventures they can have as a couple. But that was quickly negated by his poor behavior at trivia night, where she felt embarrassed by his callousness and apathy towards her friends and the game. Olivia confided in her friend that she wants a husband who tries to accept her social circle, and based on his behavior on Married at First Sight, Brett doesn't seem to be that guy.
