Many Married At First Sight fans know the experts are at the heart of the show's few success stories. There are some doubters, considering the show's relatively low success rate. However, at the end of the day, there would be no lasting MAFS marriages without the experts' professional experience and next-level emotional intelligence.Married at First Sight's Dr. Pepper Schwartz, Pastor Calvin Roberson, and Dr. Viviana Coles have been franchise staples over the last few years. MAFS expert Pastor Cal is excited for season 16, and is known for his catchphrases, as well as his book and coaching series titled "Marriage Ain't For Punks." Dr. Viviana may have exited the franchise for good, but at least Pastor Cal and Dr. Pepper will be around for a long time. Dr. Pepper has a knack for breaking down couples' stubbornness. Last season also saw the debut of two additions, DeVon Franklin and Dr. Pia Holec.
MAFS' Dr. Pepper Doesn't Beat Around The Bush

In recent years, many fans specifically supported MAFS's iconic Dr. Pepper for calling out Olajuwon Dickerson in season 14. Olajuwon embraced some very traditional and arguably misogynist viewpoints on marital roles and womanhood. Pastor Cal Is Always Ready To Break Up A MAFS Fight
Pastor Cal gets props for breaking down problems when couples hit a dead end. @LBoogieIsHere shared, "Pastor Cal is really good helping the couples resolve conflict. His approach was excellent, when he talked Morgan through her triggers about trust." Morgan was arguably overreacting to her husband Binh Trinh's need to confide in a friend about their relationship. While viewers lost patience with Morgan, Pastor Cal could see her heated reaction was about more than Binh. Similarly, he could see that there was progress under the surface of Mitch Silverstein and Krysten Collins' bumpy relationship.
Dr. Viviana's MAFS Expressions Say It All
In 2020, during season 13, @poniesrpretty5 shared, "The look on Dr. Vivian's face is PRICELESS. #MarriedAtFirstSight #MAFS Katie is THE WORST. Run Derrick! Run!!!" Dr. Viviana grew somewhat exasperated with some of the couples in recent years. Sometimes reality TV couples aren't meant to be, and no amount of coaching can get two strangers to get along. These may have been the moments that made Dr. Viviana decide she was done with MAFS.
Dr. Pia and DeVon are new to MAFS, but time will tell if they return to the franchise. Fans have given DeVon grief for filming amid his own divorce. At the same time, part of navigating marriage is sometimes knowing when it's over. A broader spectrum of experts gives more tools for them to support their casts before they become MAFS Unmatchables. What's clear more than anything is that fans are rooting for Dr. Pepper and Pastor Cal to create matches that last a lifetime, and many have faith that they will.
