The critics of Chris Williams are not letting up on the business owner and Married At First Sight star. Even though season 12 has ended, with the reunion wrapping up all the stories, Chris is still facing backlash for how he treated Paige Banks. It is safe to say that Paige did not have the easiest journey on the show, but fans are now obsessed with Paige's Instagram page. This was evident at the reunion, as she stated that she was not ok. Chris is not innocent, but he has since apologized for his actions and said the process taught him a lot.

Every season, there is always a guaranteed villain on Married At First Sight. This season, that title happened to fall on Chris’ shoulders. At every turn, it seemed that he was speaking ill of his wife Paige. The first night of their wedding, Chris said to Paige’s friends that she was not a “trophy wife.” This was the first strike, but it only continued. He went on to tell Paige that he was not attracted to her after they slept together. Chris then spoke about Paige’s looks again, but this time to Pastor Cal, and insinuated that out of all of Atlanta, the experts could have matched him with someone better. All these things, coupled with the baby mama drama, turned viewers against Chris.

Following the Married At First Sight reunion, however, critics have not let up on Chris Williams on social media. Chris apologized for his actions during the reunion, but host Kevin Frazier did not let him off the hook that easily. Kevin went in hard on Chris, but viewers are not completely satisfied yet. Fans of the show have continued to harass him on his social media, including Reddit forums. At this point, Chris has even limited the comments on his Instagram feed, which could be to slow down some trolls when it comes to harassing him.

Even though Chris’ behavior on Married At First Sight is inexcusable, it is time for fans of the show to leave him alone. Chris even posted a quote on his Instagram, “If you don’t understand it fully, don’t speak on it. Too many people have full opinions, with half facts.” Being on reality TV is not easy, and it does not make it easier when people criticize how you acted on the show. Chris is not perfect and, hopefully, he learned from his mistakes and actions from the process.

There have been many other instances on the show of terrible husbands, like Matt Gwynne who was married to Amber Bowles and stayed out for 48 hours. However, despite his actions on the show, he does not need to be constantly reminded of it. People can grow, learn, and change. One example is Michael Watson, who was married to Meka Jones. He lied at every turn and admitted that he didn’t work on their marriage properly, but he has grown and is getting married later in 2021. These men may not have been the best husbands during their time on Married At First Sight, but they have gone on and tried to be better.
