While some of the couples featured on Married At First Sight season 13 seem to be meant to be, fans aren't as sold on newlyweds Brett and Ryan. Every match made on Married At First Sight season 13 can't be perfect, but Brett and Ryan have demonstrated that some of the relationship experts' choices really miss the mark. From their disparate energy levels to their clashing political ideologies, here's why Brett and Ryan aren't expected to make it past Decision Day.

Brett is a 33-year-old teacher and volleyball coach. In turn, Ryan is an oil and gas liaison who's 35 years old. Even though she signed up to get married to a complete stranger, Brett had confidence in the experimental dating process as she is a dedicated fan of Married At First Sight. In fact, Brett was even awarded the nickname, "Mrs. Hopelessly Devoted" because of her eagerness to marry a stranger on a series that is infamous for ending in tragic heartbreak. Alas, Brett's blind optimism isn't able to stop her marriage from becoming another Married At First Sight horror story. Fans are anticipating a disappointing Decision Day for Brett and Ryan.

Although Brett was prepared to make her impromptu marriage work with just about anyone, Ryan hasn't met his wife halfway. Ryan shared that he wanted to get married because he wanted to be a young and active father. At 35, Ryan felt pressure to tie the knot before he got too old. Many fans have picked up on how Ryan doesn't seem to be in his marriage for the right reasons. Instead of looking for a loving partner, Ryan was just hoping to jumpstart his family planning schedule. Viewers noticed that Ryan hasn't established any meaningful connection with Brett, and appears to be more interested in her red hair than her personality. On Reddit, fans expressed their distrust in Married At First Sight's relationship experts and noted, "Brett deserved someone who wants to be married just as much as she does."

Another reason why Brett and Ryan don't seem mean-to-be is their opposing political beliefs. Recently, fellow season 13 husband Gil brought up his opinions on being in a relationship with someone who isn't politically aligned with him. Even though Gil assured his co-stars that he didn't have a problem dating (or even marrying) someone who had conflicting political affiliations, Brett shared that she disagreed. Brett explained that she knew Ryan has political opinions that she isn't sure she will be able to look past those differences. Ryan said that he wouldn't want to be in a relationship with anyone too passionate on either side of the political spectrum, but vowed that he would be able to keep his political views out of their marriage. Unfortunately, Brett fears politics could cause trouble in her marriage.

Overall, Brett and Ryan's relationship has left fans disappointed in Married At First Sight's matchmaking abilities once again. From Ryan's lack of interest in Brett to the couple's differing political stances, Brett and Ryan don't seem like they'll make it to the end of season 13. Hopefully, Brett and Ryan can sort their differences out and prove fans wrong before the Married At First Sight season 13 finale.
