Does Married At First Sight’s season 11 villain Brett Lindsey have a softer side? Reports are conflicting, but some of his off-camera actions speak to this as fact.

Brett Lindsey almost seemed to enjoy being the bad-guy during filming of Married At First Sight.  He posted several iconic cartoon villains on his Instagram account as he was filming this show. His on-camera bride, Olivia, would spend time defending her husband, stating he was a great guy off-camera. In fact, his off-camera actions do lead us to believe he had a softer side—but then why would he be so different while on the show? Not only is Brett’s Instagram focused on his beautiful and loving cats, but it also shows him working with shelter dogs as he helps them to find their forever homes. A man that is truly kind to animals can’t be that bad, right?

According to Soap Dirt, that is exactly Brett’s true personality. On-camera he’s a bad boy, and off-camera he's a loving and caring guy. So why would Brett have two different personalities? Growing up he was surrounded by his brothers, which resulted in him donning a tough demeanor. His on-camera sarcastic attitude also lends us to believe he is just protecting himself and his feelings. Maybe he has a heartbreak or two in his past that lead him to this defensive behavior.

It seems Brett is a truly good guy deep down but overcompensates for his masculinity by being a tough guy on the exterior. And who could blame him! Men are often called out for being too soft, so it makes sense that he would put up a wall to protect himself from other’s thoughts and opinions. Especially when he's on national television.

Spoiler alert! Rumor has it that Married At First Sight couple Brett and Olivia didn’t work out. Supposedly, Brett already has a new girlfriend. He continues to post happy & cute photos of himself with his cats as well as his work with shelter dogs. We assume all of us will have to wait for the Married At First Sight reunion episode to find out what’s truly going on in his personal life. Could Brett truly be on the show just to bring attention to animals in need of forever homes? Perhaps so, and if that's the case, we can truly say that Brett Lindsey is indeed a kind-hearted and loving person.
