Mark Ruffalo has shared a photo of himself with Tom Holland to celebrate the Marvel Cinematic Universe star's birthday and poke fun at their spoiler habits. Ruffalo made his debut in the franchise as Bruce Banner, aka the Hulk, in 2012's The Avengers and has carried the role over into seven different projects including Disney+'s in-production She-Hulk series. Holland swung into action for the first time as Peter Parker, better known as Spider-Man, in 2016's Captain America: Civil War before leading his own film series, which will continue with this year's adventure No Way Home.

Throughout their careers in the MCU, both Ruffalo and Holland have become infamous for frequently revealing spoilers. Ruffalo is best known for spilling the beans ahead of Avengers: Infinity War that everyone dies in its climax and for live-streaming the opening of Thor: Ragnarok during its premiere. Holland's spoilers have varied from revealing his character would head to space in the third MCU crossover to also live-streaming the trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming a day prior to its scheduled release.

In honor of the Spider-Man star turning 25, Ruffalo took to Instagram to share an image of himself and Holland from the press tour of Infinity War. The three-time Oscar nominee paired the photo with a jab at both himself and his fellow MCU star for their propensity to drop spoilers for the blockbuster franchise. See Ruffalo's heartfelt joke below:

Whether some of their spoiler antics were genuine or a publicity stunt remains a mystery — though Ruffalo's reaction to revealing Infinity War's ending still rings out as true — it's hard to deny the joy they each bring to audiences as their characters and as themselves. Holland's career took off because of landing the role of Parker but he's never forgotten to remain connected to his fans with cheeky social media teases and a likable presence at premieres. Ruffalo has become well-known for his energetic and jokey behavior on red carpets for MCU films and with the wild journey Banner and Hulk have taken on screen over the past few movies, he remains a constant point of focus for viewers.

Some may be disappointed that Marvel and Sony haven't taken the opportunity as of this writing to celebrate Holland's birthday with the first trailer of No Way Home much like the former studio did for Simu Liu and the Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings trailer. But with plenty of time left in the day, one can surely appreciate the slew of birthday posts being sent Holland's way from his fellow MCU cast members. Plus, who knows, maybe he'll go back to his old ways and treat himself to a good old-fashioned leaking of something for fans.
