Ubisoft has revealed the DLC roadmap for Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope on Nintendo Switch, which is set to run through the end of 2023. The final DLC will introduce Rayman to Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, allowing Ubisoft's platforming hero to make a long-awaited return to the world of video games, even if it's just as a guest character in a different franchise. The Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope DLC will be broken into three parts, with the first only available in the Season Pass.

The Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope DLC roadmap has officially been revealed by Ubisoft. The first DLC is called The Tower of Doooom, and it adds a new mode to the game. The artwork for this episode features Madame Bwahstrella, a robotic Rabbid seer and a character that debuted in the well-reviewed Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle. The second DLC is unnamed, but it adds a new planet and an enemy who resembles Edge from the base game. The third DLC is the one featuring Rayman, and he appears to be teaming up with Rabbid Mario and Rabbid Peach. The Tower of Doooom will be released in early 2023, the second DLC will be mid 2023, and the Rayman DLC will be at the end of 2023.

It's notable that the Rayman DLC only seems to feature two other Rabbid characters. This is backed up by Rayman, Rabbid Mario, and Rabbid Peach being the only characters to appear in the original teaser image for the DLC. Fans wanted to see the character teaming up with the original Mario cast, especially as Rayman was denied a Smash Bros. Ultimate spot. Hopefully, there is some crossover between Rayman and Mario himself in the DLC. The second DLC is hard to talk about, as so little has been revealed about it, but it will likely be detailed in a future Nintendo Direct.

It's a shame that fans have to wait for more content, as the only benefit to buying the Season Pass or an edition of the game that comes with the Season Pass are a few space-themed skins for some of the weapons used by the cast. Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope has a lot of unlockable skins for weapons already, so DLC ones aren't as special. Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope producer Xavier Manzanares told Screen Rant that the Tower of Doooom is an exciting new game mode, so fans will at least be getting something big for the first DLC.
