Animal Crossing content creator Naydinfar shared a recreation of Mario Kart's iconic Legend of Zelda-inspired course Hyrule Circuit this week. Recreations of pop-culture locations are a common pastime for players, and Nintendo-inspired Animal Crossing builds are especially popular. Two of Nintendo's best-selling games of all time, Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Mario Kart 8, have some of the most active online communities in gaming.

A crossover between Animal Crossing and Mario Kart is nothing new for the two games - Mario Kart has a track inspired by the cozy life sim, and Animal Crossing has included items inspired by Mario and friends throughout the series. Mario Kart draws track inspiration from a myriad of other Nintendo games, with the game's Legend of Zelda course Hyrule Circuit a fan-favorite for many. The track features many references to famous objects from the series, like Link's Master Sword and the Triforce. Animal Crossing: New Horizons features thousands of items players can use to decorate, allowing for a massive amount of freedom when it comes to design.

Animal Crossing content creator Naydinfar shared her latest build this week, a recreation of Mario Kart's Hyrule Circuit. It's an incredible build that uses perspective to portray the course perfectly. The design uses in-game homes to recreate the village homes that line Hyrule Circuit and a Lawn Mower has cleverly been used in place of a kart. A combination of items, terraforming, and custom designs fill in the rest of the build: a customized Street Lamp with Banners item bears the Hyrule flag, and items from the game's Castle Set alongside the Plaza Arch placed on different levels give the illusion of a large castle. Naydinfar also features her in-game character in the image, who is dressed exactly like Link.

While Naydinfar has designed many Animal Crossing builds inspired by Legend of Zelda, this is possibly the only one so far that has been a crossover of two different video games within New Horizons. This amazingly detailed build must have taken a very large amount of time, particularly the homes that line the track - each required the user to create another character within the game, as well as pay for enough home upgrades until each home had the correct size. The terraforming is also impressive, and the content creator is clearly an expert at working with perspective in her designs.

This build really showcases Naydinfar's talent and is the latest reminder of the incredible design freedom and infinite possibilities Animal Crossing offers to its players. Both more Mario Kart-focused items and a Legend of Zelda themed set in Animal Crossing would be a dream come true for many fans who are fond of all three series. While it's unlikely any items like those would come to Animal Crossing: New Horizons any time soon, amazing designs like this one may just inspire some players to make themed areas of their own.
