After memes of Car Kirby from Kirby and the Forgotten Land have gone viral, a fan has shown a glimpse of what Kirby's hilarious new car form would look like in Mario Kart. Kirby and the Forgotten Land is an open-world 3D platformer set to be released on Nintendo Switch on March 25. It will be the first fully 3D and open-world game in the Kirby series.
The February 2022 Nintendo Direct covered a wide variety of upcoming titles from the company, including a new trailer for Kirby and the Forgotten Land. While first looks of Kirby and the Forgotten Land were initially revealed during the Nintendo Direct last September, the newest trailer displayed several striking new features from the new game. Perhaps the most notable of these is Mouthful Mode, which allows Kirby to swallow large items. One of these items was a car. After swallowing it whole, Kirby became the car, inspiring the internet to create viral Car Kirby memes.
Due to the sensation of Carby, fans began to dream about the new feature's appearance in Mario Kart, a series in which users race against each other as different Nintendo characters. Now, one fan has made this a reality. According to Twinfinite, the Youtuber RiazorMC has created a video displaying what Car Kirby would actually look like in Mario Kart. In the video, a 3D model of Carby is seen driving around various Mario Kart tracks, looking just as cute and hilarious as it did in the Kirby and the Forgotten Lands trailer.

Car Kirby isn't the only thing exciting about the new game, though. Kirby and the Forgotten Land seems to not only be fully 3D but also open-world, similar to Nintendo titles like Super Mario Odyssey. The setting appears to be post-apocalyptic and Kirby will have new copy abilities as well as a gun. With all of these things and the inclusion of a co-op mode, excitement among fans is not restricted to Kirby being able to swallow a car. It's no wonder Kirby and the Forgotten Land boasts the largest file size out of all the Kirby games.
Similar to the previous games, Kirby and the Forgotten Land appears to be adorable aesthetically while including some darker and disturbing enemies and elements. The prospect of a 3D open-world Kirby game has excited many fans, and the popularity of Car Kirby definitely contributes to this. Memes and fan creations like RiazorMC's demonstrate just how much people are looking forward to Kirby's new adventure.
