Details in Manifest season 2 suggest that Al-Zuras may have been aware of season 4's biggest reveal. Yusuv Al-Zuras is an unseen figure in the Manifest mythos and a person whose knowledge has been extremely valuable to the passengers' efforts to solve the show's central mystery. The link between Flight 828 and Al-Zuras has been crucial to some of their most important breakthroughs.

First mentioned in season 2, the 16th-century Egyptian explorer and his crew vanished in the midst of a storm while crossing the ocean. Ten years later, they mysterious returned with no memories of what happened to them, aside from a vision of seeing Flight 828, which was originally perceived as a silver dragon. Like the passengers, they came back with the Callings. Thanks to the fact that Al-Zuras recorded his experiences in a journal, the passengers have been able to get a glimpse into his experience with the Callings and how he and his crew navigated through the challenges that came with this strange phenomenon.

Al-Zuras Knew About The Divine Consciousness

Manifest Season 2 Al-Zuras Calling Ship

In Manifest season 4, part 1, new revelations were made about the Callings when Cal concluded that the passengers were inside a divine consciousness. Apparently, this entity provided them with the messages they know as the Callings. While this was taken as new information, it's possible that they weren't the first to reach this realization. Clues to this reveal date back to season 2 when they began diving into Al-Zuras' backstory. As TJ read in the journal, Al-Zuras believed he and his crew could hear "the word of God."

At the time, this comment from Al-Zuras was brushed aside, as it simply made sense given the time period that Al-Zuras would interpret the Callings as messages from God. But in light of what the passengers learned in season 4, it seems Al-Zuras' claims were more accurate than they ever imagined. From the looks of things, the truth about the divine consciousness was actually something that Al-Zuras figured out several hundred years ago. The passengers just didn't recognize the reveal for what it was.

What Else Did Al-Zuras Know About The Callings?

Olive leans over and explains something to a perplexed TJ in Manifest.

Al-Zuras' "word of God" claim isn't the only detail in the journal that points to him having more insight into the Callings than the passengers. The only reason Ben and the others knew about the Death Date before season 2 is due to their encounter Griffin, a bank robber who disappeared and died a few days later. Yet somehow, Al-Zuras and his crew were able to arrive at the same conclusion about their fates, as evidenced by him writing that he would die ten years after coming back. Exactly how he came across this information isn't clear, but additional research into the journey Al-Zuras personally undertook to solve these mysteries could potentially lead to all the answers they've been looking for in Manifest season 4, part 2.
