Tripwire Interactive's newest game, Maneater, puts the player in control of a man-eating shark in search of revenge. After the player's mother is brutally murdered, the player is tasked with hunting down their mother's killer to avenge her death. And while the main storyline of the game revolves around becoming the world's most famous killer shark, there are plenty of side activities to keep the player busy. Maneater may be a shark-em-up on the surface, but it is also a giant collectathon.

Maneater has three main collectibles: Collectible License Plates, Nutrient Chaches, and Landmarks. Nutrient Caches are some of the most valuable collectibles, especially during the early game. Finding and cracking open one of these caches will reward the player with a ton of nutrients and XP, and some of them will even have rare nutrients such as mutagens inside. There are 17 nutrient caches and Fawtick Bayou, and this guide will help players collect them all.

Fawtick Bayou Nutrient Cache Locations in Maneater

As mentioned prior, nutrient caches are great ways to collect loads of nutrients and XP fast, and luckily most are hidden in plain sight. There are 17 nutrient caches scattered around Fawtick Bayou which is the first location players visit in Maneater. As a baby shark nutrient caches are some of the best ways to level up and upgrade starting abilities, and as such should be a priority when starting out. However, not all nutrient caches can be obtained as a baby or even a teen shark. Nonetheless, all of the nutrient cache locations are marked red on the map provided above.

Most of the caches on the map above can be found as a baby shark, and all caches can be found in the water so players won't have to worry about finding any on land. However, some land is required to cross in order to obtain some sneaky caches, and other caches are locked behind metal grates. There are a couple of caches hidden in separate bodies of water that are surrounded by land. Players will need to cross a small landmass in order to access these areas. These masses are small enough to cross as a baby shark, but it may be easier to wait until the player is a teen.

As well, there are plenty of caches hidden behind breakable grates that can only be broken by a teen or adult shark. However, the amount of XP a shark gains from collecting nutrient caches should boost the player to adulthood in no time.
