A fan of The Mandalorian has built a mini version of Baby Yoda's hover pod. Known as "the Child" in the hit Disney+ streaming series, the Internet christened the cute creature Baby Yoda, and the rest was viral history. Baby Yoda is, without a doubt, a pop culture sensation, appearing in Time Magazine and even helping firefighters battle wildfires in the Pacific Northwest.

One notable Baby Yoda accessory is his flying hover pod. Din Djarin, the titular Mandalorian, first discovered his cute baby bounty in the hover pod. Unable to kill him, the Mandalorian would later rescue the child from the very client who hired him to capture Baby Yoda in the first place. Baby Yoda's hover pod would later play a key role later on in season 1 when the Mandalorian and his friends attempted to trick the Client into thinking they were handing Baby Yoda over to him with a closed, empty hover pod.

Engineer Adam Woodworth successfully created an actual mini Baby Yoda flying hover pod. The video not only shows the little hover pod in action, but also shows how Woodworth created the device. You can check out the full video below:

Woodworth's innovative invention would certainly be a hit if Disney decided to make it an actual piece of official Baby Yoda merchandise. There is no doubt that Baby Yoda was the breakout star of The Mandalorian season 1. What really makes his character so important in the show is that he humanizes the Mandalorian and helps the viewer realize that there is an actual human being under the helmet with compassion. Baby Yoda is still important in real life too, remaining a beloved darling of the Internet a year after he made his first appearance. In terms of viral fame, Baby Yoda has staying power, because he provides a vital dose of cuteness and good cheer the world needs, especially during this particularly tumultuous year.

Baby Yoda will return in The Mandalorian season two. The Mandalorian was tasked with a goal at the end of the first season to return Baby Yoda to his own species and home planet. Regardless of what's going to happen plot-wise, Baby Yoda will more than likely inspire a whole new slew of fan-created works, all inspired by the Child's infinite levels of cuteness.
