The Mandalorian season 3 is set to see the return of the actress behind Frog Lady from the show’s season 2. The Mandalorian follows the bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) in a post-Return Of The Jedi galaxy. On the heels of two extremely successful first seasons and the return of its main characters in The Book Of Boba Fett, The Mandalorian season 3 is set to raise the stakes for Din, who has been reunited with Grogu and is now in possession of the legendary Darksaber, making him the rightful leader of Mandalore.

During his adventures, Din meets a long list of characters throughout the Star Wars galaxy. Misty Rosas has played two characters among that list: Kuiil the Ugnaught from season 1 and Frog Lady from season 2. Nick Nolte provided the voice for Kuiil in season 1, but Rosas was the actress behind the character’s physical body. Although Kuiil met an untimely demise by the end of season 1, he served as a wise and trustworthy ally to Din since their first encounter. Then, Rosas returned for season 2 as Frog Lady, a woman who offered Din important information in exchange for safe transport to the planet Trask, where her husband was waiting for her. Frog Lady appeared in two episodes of season 2.

In a now-deleted Instagram post (via The Direct), Rosas confirmed her involvement in The Mandalorian season 3. While her post doesn't say anything about her role, her shirt reads “The Mandalorian season 3.” Cast and crew are often given gifts like this when a TV show or movie wraps filming.

Rosas certainly won’t be the only Mandalorian season 1 and season 2 cast member returning for season 3. All signs point to the return of Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff), who may be shifting from an ally to an enemy for Din. Throughout season 2, Bo-Katan was determined to retake the Darksaber from Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito) so that she could become Mandalore’s rightful leader. However, on a mission to rescue Grogu, Din won the Darksaber in combat, which may put him at odds with Bo-Katan. While a storyline featuring Mandalore is likely, the story surrounding Grogu and his potential future as a Jedi is still unclear. Perhaps he’ll reunite with Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) or Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) to help Din perfect his Darksaber-wielding technique.

The Mandalorian season 3 will be packed with exciting storylines and characters and Rosas is primed to be a part of that excitement. Kuiil did not live to the end of season 1, so his return is unlikely. But, a flashback featuring the Ugnaught is not out of the question. Rosas could also be reprising her Frog Lady role. Last she was seen, Frog Lady and her husband were raising their babies. Maybe a time skip could allow Frog Lady to appear alongside her grown-up children. They might even have a bone to pick with Grogu, who had a habit of eating Frog Lady’s babies when they were still unborn eggs. Lastly, Rosas could be returning to bring an entirely new character to life in season 3. With plot details of The Mandalorian season 3 still under wraps, Rosas’ role will likely become clearer near the end of 2022 when the third outing of the series is expected to release.
