The Armorer actor Emily Swallow reveals that her character will play a bigger role in The Mandalorian season 3. First airing in 2019, The Mandalorian is now a major hit for Disney+, introducing audiences to the titular bounty hunter played by Pedro Pascal. The series concluded its second season in December of 2020 but Pascal's character returned in the more divisive The Book of Boba Fett, continuing the saga of Din Djarin and Grogu and seeing the characters join forces with Temuera Morrison's Boba Fett.

First appearing in Chapter 1 of The Mandalorian, Swallow's Armorer has played an important, albeit mysterious role in the overarching story of the show. In addition to crafting new armor for the Mandalorian, the Armorer also reforged his beskar spear into a small coat of armor for Grogu in season 2. After the Mandalorian confesses to her that he removed his helmet, however, she claims that he is no longer a Mandalorian and that the only way he could be redeemed would be to travel to the living waters in the mines of Mandalore.

In a Screen Rant exclusive interview, Swallow talks about her character's role in the upcoming The Mandalorian season 3, revealing that the Armorer will play a bigger part in the events of the episodes". While remaining elusive about what audiences can expect from the Armorer in season 3, the actor teases that more might be revealed about her than in previous seasons. Check out Swallow's full comment below when asked if the Armorer will have a bigger presence in the next season:

"She will, yes. So maybe we'll learn more. Or maybe she'll remain a mystery."

Swallow's response is characteristic of the Armorer herself, keeping the mystery alive in terms of what fans can expect to learn (or not learn) about the character in The Mandalorian season 3. Although the character played a mostly minor role in season 1, her role in season 2 hints that there may be a larger part for her to play in future seasons, especially considering she was the one who set the Mandalorian on his quest to return to Mandalore. The Armorer's powerful screen presence and authoritative nature make her both a powerful potential ally and obstacle for Pascal's Mandalorian.

While the Mandalorian's bond with Grogu is very much at the heart of the show, The Mandalorian has introduced a handful of interesting characters that enhance the world of the series. A shroud of mystery surrounds the Mandalorian Tribe, its creed, and many of its members, and it would seem that The Mandalorian season 3 is poised to reveal more than ever before, with the Armorer potentially more involved in Din Djarin's quest than in previous seasons. It remains to be seen what is next for the Armorer in The Mandalorian season 3 but, at the very least, fans know the character will be featured much more.
