The Mandalorian season 2 trailer gives new looks at Tatooine and Baby Yoda. The Mandalorian premiered on Disney+ last November as a launch title for the streaming service. Set five years after the events of Star Wars: The Return of the Jedi, the series follows the journey of lone bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal), who learns that one of his targets is a baby of the same species as Yoda. Din decides to protect The Child, or "Baby Yoda" as dubbed by fans, instead of turning him in, and the two go on an adventure across the galaxy. Created by Jon Favreau, the eight-episode series was a massive hit, praised by Star Wars fans and landing 15 Emmy Award nominations, including Best Drama.

Lucasfilm expected the show to be a success, as they began production on season 2 before the release of season 1. The highly-anticipated season 2 is set to premiere at the end of October and has had fans speculating about what characters are returning. Much like the first season, plot details are mostly being kept under wraps for season 2, but fans were given a glimpse into the story when the official trailer dropped in September. The trailer shows Din and Baby Yoda's mission to locate the Jedi, as Din hopes to find a home for Baby Yoda. The return of season 1 characters, including Cara Dune (Gina Carano), Greef Karga (Carl Winters), and the Mythrol (Horatio Sanz), have been reported, along with iconic Star Wars characters like Boba Fett. Now a new teaser trailer reveals new footage of the second season.

The Mandalorian's official Twitter shared a teaser that shows new footage of Baby Yoda and Tatooine. In the trailer, the Mandalorian is seen racing through what has been presumed to be Tatooine. There is also a new shot of Baby Yoda, though it is unclear where he is. Check out the new trailer below:

It's not clear yet why Din revisits Tatooine, a planet featured in season 1. Many have speculated that this is where  Boba Fett or Cobb Vanth will play into the story. The new teaser keeps it vague, still not revealing too much about what's to come. Season 1 concluded with Din and Baby Yoda heading off into the galaxy to continue searching for Baby Yoda's home. Simultaneously, the villainous Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito) looks on, implying trouble for Mando and his sidekick.

Fans will not have to wait too much longer to find out what happens on Tatooine, as the new season launches October 30. Luckily, the second season did not face any schedule changes, as filming had already completed before the coronavirus pandemic, unlike many shows which have been delayed until at least 2021. While The Mandalorian season 2 remains somewhat mysterious, season 1's ending promised a lot of excitement to come.
