WWE wrestler turned actor Sasha Banks celebrates her debut on The Mandalorian. Season 2 of The Mandalorian premiered October 30th on Disney+, and its most recent episode - titled "Chapter 11: The Heiress" - has led to a lot of excitement since it marks fan-favorite Bo-Katan Kryze's (Katee Sackhoff) first appearance on The Mandalorian. She isn't alone, either, and Banks' debut on The Mandalorian is as an ally of Bo-Katan's.

While there was quite a bit of fan speculation that Banks would be playing the live-action version of another animated Star Wars character, Sabine Wren, The Mandalorian season 2 reveals that she instead portrays a brand new character, Koska Reeves. Koska is a Mandalorian who works alongside Kryze on Trask; both she and Kryze are part of the Nite Owls, an elite Mandalorian fighting unit. Yet, while Kryze has appeared in other Star Wars media, Koska Reeves is a new addition to the Star Wars universe.

Banks celebrated her appearance as Koska Reeves in The Mandalorian season 2 by snapping an adorable selfie alongside her title card (displaying her real name, Mercedes Varnado) in the credits. You can check out Banks' cute photo below:

Koska largely remains a mystery. The episode highlights Koska's loyalty to Kryze, as well as her burning desire to take back Mandalore. However, The Mandalorian fails to dive into Koska's motivations. To that end, it's also unclear when Koska will show up next. However, she and the Nite Owls now have an Imperial Gozanti-class cruiser, thanks to their latest mission. As a result, the warriors now seem well prepared to wage a siege, and it's safe to say this won't be the last time fans see Koska Reeves.

While the first two episodes of The Mandalorian season 2 felt like a slow burn, episode 3 is explosive, to say the least. All of a sudden, The Mandalorian season 2 has kicked into high gear, especially with the introduction of highly anticipated characters. Fans have reacted positively to "The Heiress," and have showered director Bryce Dallas Howard with glowing praise. That being said, this is actually Howard's second time directing an episode of The Mandalorian, as she helmed the season 1 episode "The Sanctuary" as well. All in all, it's clear that the cast and crew of The Mandalorian are absolutely killing it - and it will be beyond exciting to see what happens next in the galaxy far, far away.
