The Mandalorian season 2 confirms WWE star Sasha Banks. Thanks to an extremely well-received season 1 (which garnered 15 Emmy nominations including one for Best Drama), The Mandalorian is one of the most anticipated shows of the year. While several productions have been waylaid by the coronavirus pandemic, Disney+'s first live-action Star Wars series managed to avoid any disruptions on the way to its October premiere, which was recently set for the end of the month. Fans have been abuzz with excitement ever since the first season came to an end last December.

The Mandalorian season 1 had its fair share of exciting guest stars, but season 2 looks to up the ante even more. Performers like Rosario Dawson and Temuera Morrison are expected to play iconic Star Wars characters Ahsoka Tano and Boba Fett, respectively. Additionally, Timothy Olyphant, Katee Sackoff, and Michael Biehn have scored roles for this season. Pro wrestler Banks was reportedly added to the cast in February, but there's been little information about her role since.

Banks might've gotten lost admit the flurry of additional Mandalorian season 2 guests, but now Disney+ has confirmed her presence on the hit show. She can be seen in the newly released trailer for The Mandalorian watching Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and Baby Yoda from afar before disappearing among the crowd. Banks' appearance in the trailer is rather notable, since she's the only new guest star to be seen.

Sasha Banks in The Mandalorian season 2 trailer

In the Mandalorian trailer, Banks is shown during Din's voiceover conversation about the Jedi and their longstanding conflict with the Mandalorians. Considering the shadowy nature of her character (whoever that may be), it seems Banks could be poised to play a Jedi. Whether or not she will prove to be an ally remains to be seen, though she did seem to be watching Din and Baby Yoda with a suspicious look.

Now that Baby Yoda gets to be front and center for The Mandalorian's season 2 marketing, it's very clear that the story going forward will focus on his journey to finding a new home. There are a lot of people in the galaxy who seek to obtain Baby Yoda, with the most notable being Giancarlo Esposito's Moff Gideon. He wasn't glimpsed in the trailer, but he's expected to play a big role in the season. All told, fans still have numerous questions about The Mandalorian season 2, though they likely won't get answered until the episodes begin rolling out in October. Perhaps Banks' character will be revealed before then, but if not, fans will find out the nature of her character in a month and a half.
