Will Star Wars Rebels character Sabine Wren (rumored to be played by WWE superstar Sasha Banks) appear in The Mandalorian season 2, episode 3, "Chapter 11"? The Mandalorian season 2 is connecting itself far more closely to the wider Star Wars galaxy than season 1 did. Whereas that was reasonably self-contained, the new episodes are introducing several familiar faces, with Sabine, a Mandalorian and member of the Ghost Crew in Rebels, reportedly among them.

With Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison) returning in The Mandalorian season 2, episode 1, the groundwork has already been laid for further cameos from other Star Wars characters. Among those expected are Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) and Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff), but it may be that Sabine is the first of that particular trio (all of whom are linked to one another thanks to Rebels and their ties to Mandalore) to show up in The Mandalorian season 2, based on reported casting and the logical flow of the story.

The Mandalorian season 2, episode 3 looks set to visit Mon Cala, the oceanic planet that was shown in the trailers and is where Star Wars fan-favorite Admiral Ackbar originates from. Since Din Djarin's current passenger, Frog Lady, is an amphibian, and she is in need of finding safe travels, then it would make sense to head to the shipbuilding world of Mon Cala next, where both she and Mando could find ways of continuing their respective journeys. Alternatively, it may be Din heads there after dropping off Frog Lady. However Mando and Baby Yoda end up on the planet, though, it's there that Banks' mystery character will appear, which was again revealed in the trailers, with the wrestler-turned-actress playing a hooded figure seemingly watching Din. Assuming, then, that Mon Cala is in the next episode of The Mandalorian and that Banks is playing Sabine, then that would be where the character debuts.

There is no official word on Banks' casting as Sabine, nor the same kind of firm reports that broke the news of Morrison and Dawson's castings, so the idea does need to be taken with a pinch of the surface of the planet Crait. However, aside from rumors, there is also logic to the idea: Banks is the most high profile casting for The Mandalorian season 2 that hasn't been linked with any other role, and since the other new arrivals of Ahsoka and Bo-Katan have been cast, then it would make sense for Banks to be playing Sabine. The Rebels' character will likely be played by a familiar face, since she's reasonably well-known, and like Banks fits Sabine because of the absence of any other obvious choice, the same logic applies in reverse too.

This would also fit with how The Mandalorian season 2 is building to Ahsoka's debut. Although far from confirmed, it is quite likely that she will show up in episode 5, which is written by Dave Filoni (and perhaps directed by him as well), who has great investment in the character. Since it'll be other Mandalorians who lead to Ahsoka's introduction, then it'd make sense for there to be a trail: Sabine in the next episode leads to Bo-Katan in episode 4, and then Ahsoka in 5, making it plausible, if far from confirmed, that Sabine will show up in the next episode of The Mandalorian season 2.
