Robert Rodriguez, director of Sin City and Planet Terror, will direct at least one episode of The Mandalorian season 2. The first season of the Star Wars spin-off premiered on Disney Plus on November 12, 2019. Pedro Pascal (Narcos) stars as a loner bounty hunter trying to survive in the outer reaches of the galaxy. The series is created by Jon Favreau (Iron Man) and features other great actors like Carl Weathers (Rocky) and Gina Carano.

Slashfilm reports the news of Rodriguez's role in season 2 via hnentertainment. Rumors have been swirling about his involvement for a while, but now it's confirmed. The first season of The Mandalorian also featured many talented directors, like Bryce Dallas Howard, Taika Waititi, and Deborah Chow, who is directing the Obi-Wan series.

A few months ago, it was also reported that Weathers would be directing an episode in the upcoming season, and Howard is returning. There were also rumors that James Mangold, who directed Loganwould be directing parts of season 2, but he has since made it clear that he is not involved. Robert Rodriguez

Rodriguez is known for his very stylized and action-filled films, and he has been an executive producer on plenty of projects over the years. His most relevant experience, as it relates to The Mandalorian, comes from his first two films, El Mariachi and Desperado. The pair of Western-inspired action films are a perfect match for The Mandalorian, hopefully, Rodriguez taps into his roots for inspiration.
