The Mandalorian, Baby Yoda, Boba Fett & Ahsoka Tano unite in a new season 2 fan poster. The Star Wars movie universe may be in limbo after The Rise of Skywalker wrapped up the sequel trilogy in divisive fashion, but the small screen side is still going strong on Disney+ with season 2 of the hit show The Mandalorian set to arrive later in 2020.

Season 1 of The Mandalorian of course made huge pop culture waves thanks to the introduction of Baby Yoda, a character the internet made into an instant meme star. Season 2 will not only bring back everyone’s favorite mysterious big-eared green alien child, it will also make animated Star Wars fans’ dreams come true by introducing popular Clone Wars character Ahsoka Tano. Recently it was also revealed that famed Star Wars character Boba Fett is set to make his debut in season 2, meaning Boba did somehow manage to survive farcically falling in the Sarlacc pit in Return of the Jedi.

Indeed, there is a lot of excitement about the new additions to the Mandalorian cast in season 2. Fan artist Apexform has taken on the challenge of crafting a poster that brings together the show’s new and returning characters in dramatic – and very classic Star Wars – fashion. See the poster in the space below:

In addition to Mando, Baby Yoda, Ahsoka Tano and Boba Fett, the poster also features returning Big Bad Moff Gideon, who was revealed in season 1 to be in possession of the mythical weapon the Darksaber, along with Mando’s sometime ally Cara Dune. Not featured in the poster is another big new addition to the cast, Clone Wars and Rebels character Bo-Katan, who is set to be played by Katee Sackhoff. At the rate The Mandalorian is adding characters from other Star Wars-related properties, there are bound to be some other big new surprise additions by the time season 2 finally arrives.

Indeed, at this point it almost feels like Disney is using the established hit The Mandalorian as a testing ground to try out more characters who may be earmarked to receive their own shows in the future. Fans would no doubt be thrilled to see a show like Clone Wars get a full live-action treatment from Disney+, alongside the planned Cassian Andor and Obi-Wan Kenobi series that are already on the way. And of course, everyone is excited to see what revelations season 2 has in store when it comes to Baby Yoda, a character whose adorableness no doubt hides some very profound secrets. With each passing day, fans have more and more reason to be thrilled about the future of The Mandalorian as it becomes the center of the Star Wars universe.
